“Pretty girls don’t make good models.” Do you agree?

I had a very interesting and informal chat with professional fetish and boudoir photographer Nic Marchant in between shooting rope bondage, suspension and vintage glamour with him at his studio for KFS TV. Between us, we have 50 years of experience! I got some real talk straight from the horse's mouth on Nic's line of business, including:

  • How to start taking good fetish or boudoir shots right away, even with little or no experience*
  • Film vs digital
  • Shooting vs post-processing
  • How Nic chooses models to work with (as if I wouldn't ask that question!)

Watch the KFS video of our shoot and interview below, or watch it on YouTube (contains nudity)!

You may also be interested to know why Nic thinks it really pays to be a boudoir photographer... and what he said that nearly made me cry right there on camera! ;) There is also some footage of me posing nude at my photo shoot with him.

Hanging out with Nic at our fetish shoot.

Musn't let my mascara run! ;)

* Hint: “Photographing your girlfriend is a very difficult starting point... I think it’s unfair to expect anyone who isn’t a professional model to just switch it on... You need a brilliant model to make it work.”

Interview with KFS TV, on life, love and modelling without a model agency

KFS TV (Kinky Fetish Sex, btw!) interviewed me in my hotel room during my last tour, asking me some TOUGH questions about what I do and how I do it, what kind of body image I'm promoting, and whether I really think that "any girl can be a model".

Click play on the video below to see it!

Ignore the email address at the end of the video- the one you want to "Ask Anita" is ***MAIL@KFSMEDIA.COM***!

On the subject of being a model without a model agency, or if you are interested in beginning, maintaining and furthering your fetish modelling career for free, watch the video through to the end to see how to enter a free competition to win a personally signed luxurious hardback edition of my book, The "Ugly" Girl's Guide to Modelling: No Agency? No Problem!

I am about to become an agony aunt for KFS Magazine, so if you have a question about life, love, sex, modelling, style or beauty you'd like me to answer in my brutally honest style, email it now to mail@kfsmedia.com!

Fairy Cave

This blog is brought to you by the in-room wifi at an old-style luxurious Victorian manor I'm staying at in Surrey. I had a great shoot with one of my favourite photographers today, followed by an interview in my hotel room for KFS TV, followed by a three-course solo dinner- as I was absolutely starved by 5pm!

Here are a couple of photos by Rlux from a recent shoot in a cave in Somerset! I came back the following day with a torch to explore it further :D

I love the way the seams in the rock behind me have given me fairy wings.

Two shoots in London tomorrow: the first, me showing a photographer round some of my old London locations, and the second in the studio, which is also being filmed for TV. Then a girls-only dinner with my friends Roswell Ivory and Luci Alice ♥

Right now I'm relaxing with a Bareskin Beauty clay face mask while drawing a candlelit bath in my hotel room. If you haven't already seen it, I explain how I keep my skin clear and healthy while travelling in this video :)

Facebook and Instagram are also great places to keep up with me- they're quicker to update than my blog if I get a quick patch of phone signal between shoots! If you have any questions about modelling, either as an experienced model or as someone just thinking about giving modelling a try, please read this first (available worldwide through various websites)- it's £12.99 well invested as it will save you sooo much time, money and misdirected effort!

Lots of love,

♥ Anita ♥

When you're- with Anita- have a yabba-dabba-doo time!

I can't believe I didn't blog my cavegirl pictures yet :o

I've been wanting to do a retro cavegirl shoot inspired by Wilma Flintstone, Raquel Welch in One Million Years BC and Bettie Page's leopard pin-ups with Bunny Yeagar for literally years so it was great to finally get around to doing it with Leather Lovers, Fabulously Fetish, Bareskin Beauty and Luci Alice at my Lux Studio Day in Maidstone!

Here are my inspiration images!

My next studio day is a combined studio, dungeon AND boudoir day with all the appropriate sets at Fine & Dan Dee Studio in Wokingham on Saturday 6 June, if any photographers reading this are interested :) There is only one shoot left. contact@anitadebauch.com.

I hope everyone had a fun Bank Holiday weekend. Mine was mostly spent either drinking champagne or sleeping, although I did find time earlier in the week for a heavy rubber shoot and a skincare infomercial.

I also managed to enjoy some of the weather over the weekend, including visiting a local C14th church tower and climbing all the way to the top of the roof. It was on the same day I heard the good news about Ireland voting in marriage equality, so it seemed very fitting to be standing on a church in the glorious sunshine!

#NakedSundays with Neil Cordell

Hi everyone! I hope you're all well and enjoying the new year so far :)

I'm on Day 5 of my detox and doing well so far- no meat, alcohol, cow's milk, "bad" fats, additives or processed foods, very little gluten or soy, and tons of fruit, veggies, sea veggies, water, probiotics, Mag07, lemon juice, herbal teas, wholegrains, mineral baths and exercise. The little fine lines I collected around my eyes over Christmas have all gone :) Hopefully I will look my best at the TV presenter training course I'm doing at Pinewood Studios tomorrow!

As it's Sunday, I thought I'd share this photo by Neil Cordell for the first #NakedSundays of 2014!

I had a lovely yoga session this morning and feel super relaxed today. I also really enjoyed my first flotation tank session the other day. It's interesting what thoughts and feelings come into your mind when you temporarily cut out all that outside "noise" :) I feel really happy and balanced today.

Just need to colour my hair, pack and plan my showreel presentation for tomorrow, then make a herby raw nut "roast" to my own (made up) recipe with almond pulp, soaked cashews and fresh sage, thyme and rosemary, to munch with steamed veg and homemade gravy in front of Sherlock tonight :) Then another steaming hot Himalayan pink and Epsom salts bath with coconut oil and a Bareskin Beauty Clay Mask before bed.

Love and peace as always,

Anita xx

A very British Monday

Today I visited the British Museum to see the Middle East, Ancient Egyptians, Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome exhibits, went for a British pint (Doom Bar) in a proper olde traditional-looking gay pub in Soho (well the boys had the beer, I had wine), then came home for a pot of tea and to FINALLY watch Alpha Papa. I meant to watch it at The Phoenix when it was on but was just too busy with shoots. This always happens to me! I think the last thing I managed to see at the cinema was The Hobbit in 3D at the BMI IMAX. I also booked myself in for a TV presenting day course at Pinewood Studios next month.

Appropriately for watching Alan Partridge, here is a photo from a shoot in Norfolk in October by Alec Davies, who was visiting from South Africa.

Styling: moi

Hopefully I'll be touring South Africa in 2014, so if you're based in Cape Town or Johannesburg and would like to work with me, holler! contact@anitadebauch.com :)

The making of Jessie J's 'It's My Party' music video (new single)

In case you hadn't already guessed from me suddenly RT'ing Jessie J last month, it was her music video I was shooting, I just wasn't allowed to say at the time ;) Now it's been released, I can blab, blab, blab!

I got picked up from my house at 4 am and driven to Malcolm Ryan Studios to shoot the video. We weren't even allowed to tweet our location in case we got overrun by a flash-mob of Jessie fans, but it just so happened that my friend Perou was shooting a billboard ad for a new Fox show upstairs, which was a nice surprise. I'm not sure us playing 'It's My Party' a million times at a million decibels for 16 hours was a nice surprise for him, though :p

Wardrobe liked the outfit I wore to the audition so much that they asked me to wear it in the video :) It's been a while since I teamed a black fishnet top with a dog collar, but turns out, it's like riding a bike ;) I did get a cool biker jacket to wear in one scene, in fact, so I could give it to Jessie at our punk party :) It's a gorgeous jacket, but I was glad to be rid of it; it was SO hot to rave for hours under the boiling hot studio lights in a leather coat!

Jessie's professionalism genuinely blew my mind. She had 100% energy on the first take, 100% energy on the second take, 100% energy on the nineteenth take, and every shot of her (from what I could tell) was perfect and looked effortless, although she must have been even hotter and more tired than the rest of us as she had to shoot a separate solo scene too.

Jessie was singing to herself in between takes when shots were being set up and so on, and my gosh, her voice really is amazing. It has an absolutely pure sound, and trickles completely freely and naturally, like running water, yet is held in perfect and light control. I don't think her records really show what she can do, maybe because then they'd be a bit much for the average pop fan to handle ;) I bet she's good live, though.

Here's a pic Jessie posted on her Instagram of the director and crew filming us in our little party rooms:

Sorry to go on like a bit of a fangirl, but Jessie was also one of the nicest and most genuine/ down-to-earth people I've ever worked with. I'm pretty sure she'll never read this, I'm just saying it 'cos it's true ;)

Anyway... here's the actual video for 'It's My Birthday' :) Hope you like!

#NakedSundays with Perou

This is the second blood shot from my shoot with Perou ♥ Red and white is such a lush colour combination; bright, clinical and terrifying. I am the bloodstained ice queen.

Styling (except the blood!) by moi mwah mwah

So I'm back from my Lady Allura's Latex shoot in Ireland and just shot for Fabulously Fetish bespoke shoes in London; quite a bit of commercial rather than pure art-for-art's-sake work (like the pic above) atm (other things are top secret right now; will tell you here the second I can).

I like the challenge of commercial work, because it's good to mentally change gears to keep my brain running smoothly, but AFAS is the bestest.

This photo is my desktop wallpaper atm ♥

Holly (Ivory Flame) was staying with me earlier this week while she's touring the southeast.

We had a coinciding day off in the V&A, where we went on a tour of the Tudors. Randomly, my favourite things were the beds. This was my favourite. I love 1930s Chinoiserie; the common Western perception at the time of China as this incredibly exotic, sensual, mysterious place makes for great decor and is kind of the way I'm going with my lounge. I'd never seen Tudor Chinoiserie before though!

After the museum, Holly and I went to Dirty Martini in Soho. I usually go there with Hannah Ashlea after shopping on Oxford Street; we love the decor and cheap cocktails. This time I had an actual dirty martini followed by a French martini (I forget what made it French). Holly had something with a chilli in it and we talked about just about everything going on in our worlds.

We're having a sleepover with Fredau tomorrow night, after watching a comedy panel TV show being recorded. I think I'm going to cook Kim Snyder's latest recipe for us and open a bottle of vintage bubbly. Phone photos of three drunk art nude models no doubt to follow.

PS: I hope you like my new blog design! Shout if you see any blips x

We're on the other side; the screen is us, and we're TV...

Heavy metal supergroup AXEWOUND's music video for 'Exorchrist' has just been released, starring yours truly as a female Satan, subverting and molesting all in her path!

LOOK!!!

Words simply cannot describe how much fun this video was to make. If there is a better way to spend time than writhing in blood and guts and deflowering virgins with models and rockstars then I want to hear about it right now!

Yours on a high,

Anita xxx

Exclusive preview: AxeWound video for latest single, 'ExoChrist'!

I am so happy and proud to be able to share some behind the scenes photos from the making of heavy metal supergroup AxeWound's latest music video for the single 'ExoChrist' right here at anitadebauch.blogspot.com (subscribe now- top right)! I won't spoil the story for you by explaining it- you'll have to wait until the video is released ;)

Please click the images to see the larger versions :)

Last scene of the day with the lovely Liam from Cancer Bats: notice how incredibly filthy I am compared to all the nice clean extras who'd just arrived!

"Hello Mum"

The photos were all taken by Richard Blackburn :) Please click here to see my own terribly unofficial photos from the day, including with the band, and even more bloody boobies! You can also be the very first to hear the song itself, along with a live interview, when it premieres on BBC Radio 1 at midnight tonight!

It's so weird that playing a complete psycho all day can use up all your psycho-juices. When it was finally time to shower and put on clean clothes I suddenly became so nice and sweet that it was almost unbearable, even to me. Maybe some sort of hormonal balance needed to be struck!

Don't worry, it wore off by the time I got home ;)

Behind the scenes: AxeWound music video shoot for 'ExoChrist'!

I am a full-time model, so I have done a LOT of shoots. It's impossible to say exactly how many, but I'd guess that it must be 1000 or so by now. There are inevitably a few that really distinguish themselves in my memory for one reason or another, and I'm sure that yesterday's is going to be one of them!

One of my agencies (Spirit Model Management) got me the leading role in heavy metal supergroup AxeWound's music video for their latest single, 'ExoChrist', which I'm told is due to be released within a month!

On set with AxeWound for the filming of the 'ExoChrist' video yesterday!
L-R: Matt Tuck (Bullet For My Valentine), Jason Bowld (
Pitchshifter, Pop Will Eat Itself), Mike Kingswood (Glamour of the Kill), me, Liam Cormier (Cancer Bats) and Joe Copcutt (Rise to Remain)

I'm not sure exactly what I am and am not allowed to say about the video before it appears on TV, but judging by what the band themselves have been Tweeting about it, I can tell you that it involves:
  • blood
  • boobies
  • a [strawberry] blonde chick- i.e. me- rolling around in blood on the floor
  • buckets and buckets of blood
  • lots of naked extras getting "down and dirty" (I quote Joe!)
  • more boobies
  • gallons, seriously, gallons and gallons, of blood and gore
Staying "in character" during a break in shooting! I didn't get hungry all day, probably because of all the fake blood I was swallowing- it's made of corn syrup! Pretty sure that's COMPLETELY banned on my diet..!

Believe it or not, I actually got EVEN MESSIER after I took the above photo, to the point where using my phone was no longer an option!

I can't wait to see the final finished video and share it with you right here in my blog, so SUBSCRIBE NOW (top right of this page- you can unsubscribe at any time)! And if you'd like to see more pictures of naked moi, check out my Art Nude Gallery or order a personally signed photo book from my Shop for yourself :) All proceeds will be spent on corn syrup and food dye, I swear...

I'll leave you with a pic of Liam and me after the shoot, having a shit-eating grin contest, apparently. I'd had a shower at that point but was still a bit stained! I think he was the one I liked the most- simultaneously laidback and also very into his music and the project (tricky balance); and a gentleman, to boot (but they all were) :)

"Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese, motherfucker!"

I will post more before the video is released, and then I will post the video itself the SECOND it comes out, AND some top secret behind the scenes footage that I shot! If you're an AxeWound fan you simply MUST come back and visit me here, or subscribe so that you can be alerted the second I post it all!

I used to always try and post everything to do with one shoot in one blog, but you guys have taught me that you prefer it when I tease, tease, tease, so here I go!

Love and kisses,

Anita xoxoxo

Eye of the tiger, toe of the camel

I just wanted to record two minor triumphs before I rush off to Gatwick to be jetted out to Malaga for a week's latex and boudoir modelling in the sun!

Photographer: Karl Shaw | Latex: Naucler Design | Hair: Michelle Selby | Location: Banana Studio

Minor triumph #1: I didn't completely suck at an audition
My callback for the Tesco TV ad at Spotlight today went really well. I've only ever been to half a dozen or so TV castings, all thanks to my agents, and this is the only one that I've ever felt good about! I usually curse myself as I leave for not having done something differently! Today I met the actual director and he asked me on the spot to cast for another role as well as the one I was originally up for, which I actually much preferred doing. It was very exciting as it was so spontaneous, and taking direction in front of the camera felt great. I was really buzzing! Of course, if someone better suited than me walked in straight after then I won't have got the part, but right now I'm just happy that I did a good audition :)

Minor triumph #2: I baked bread. And ate it
Liam and I were wandering back from the park on one of the mysteriously sunny days last month and saw that someone had left a bread-maker outside their house with a sign stuck to it saying, "full working order, free to a good home. Please take!", so we did. When we got it home we found the sign had been written on the back of a script from Doctors, so I guess there's a daytime TV actor living on our road, lol. Anyway, last night I successfully made a loaf of vegan wholemeal bread! It tasted fine but one side came out of the oven looking like a bum, or as someone on Facebook suggested, camel-toe.

I've really been feeling very positive these last few days. Maybe it's the detox or maybe it's just because things are going well :)

See you in Malaga! Join me on Facebook and follow me on Twitter to see my "holiday" photos!

Phaze Clothing

I have another photo from my Banana Studio Workshop last weekend to share with you! I hope you like it :)

Photographer: David Scott | Hair: Michelle Selby | Wardrobe: Phaze

I got some AMAZING news yesterday- I got a callback from the Tesco TV ad audition I mentioned a few days ago- the one where I brought my cat along on a lead! I was originally told that the callback would be on 6th June, so when I hadn't heard anything, I naturally assumed that I wasn't required. But they have changed the callback date to the 12th and they DO want to see me! This is my very first professional acting callback!!!

Dexter riding in style on the tube on the way home from my Tesco audition at Spotlight!

The only downer is that I'm shooting in Malaga on 12th June! The Spanish photographer may be able to alter the date so I can go to the callback, but even if he can't, it's still a great confidence-boost for me to be asked back at all :) I celebrated last night with Prosecco and Ben & Jerry's, haha!

Back on the detox today ;) I slept for 13 hours last night, which is supposed to be a sign that the detoxing is working- all the old toxins are getting loosened up and your body gets tired while it processes them all. But once that's been done I should have a ton more energy! My skin has already improved a LOT- it hasn't been this good since I was about 10! :D

Yours in glowing good health,

Anita xx
