Kaori's Latex Dreams editorial in Rebelicious magazine

For those of you who still buy magazines, there are THREE shiny latex-clad photos of me in a Kaori's Latex Dreams fashion editorial in the latest issue of Rebelicious magazine!

For those of you that don't, you can browse the whole issue online ;)

Photographer: Julian Kilsby | Hair and makeup: me :)

Today is also the last day of my eBay auctions! I'm selling a few items at very low price points including a brand new red leather Tommy Hilfiger bag, Prada shoes, a fur coat, leopard blazer, and some cute household items- a pink teapot and a whistling kettle. Enjoy!

For more personal items, such as my worn stockings and signed kiss-cards, have a look in the anitadebauch.com Shop! I just put some new 8x10s up for you, including photos from this editorial shoot, so go buy!

I forgot to do #fetishfriday yesterday- naughty 'Nita!

So here are the Kaori's Latex Dreams photos by Julian Kilsby that I've been dying to show off! I did the hair and makeup!

Doesn't the effect make you think of snow lit by neon or fairy lights? Very appropriate for this weather! :D

You probably already saw this one on Facebook

Now to explain why I forgot to post these yesterday...

I was too into having a 100% day off with not a stitch of work! It was amazing! London is covered in a beautiful, powdery layer of snow, there's simply no place to go, and we have the fire blazing all day!

Yes, that's me. Compare and contrast with the modelling photos if you will.

I'm happily baking organic bread and heating litres of Covent Garden veggie soups and putting the cats in their little Fairisle jumpers to keep warm- this weather is no joke for our hairless babies, even being kept indoors! They spend the day roasting in front of the fire and the night curled up by my tummy under two feather duvets and a thick satin bedspread.

Yes, they are horribly spoiled. Look at their entitled little faces.

Liam and I wrapped up in our Burberry trench coats and walked to Muswell Hill in the snow, treating ourselves to a late lunch at Toff's, the best fish and chip restaurant in London and a favourite of rockstars like Bruce Dickinson. It was the perfect weather for hot fish and chips with a cup of builder's tea!

I'm back on the health bandwagon today of course... just had a pint of Glowing Green Smoothie with added kale and pineapple for breakfast! I know that the idea of putting green veg into a smoothie sounds weird but honestly, try having it for breakfast and see how you feel!!

If you've actually read through all the waffle then I will leave you with a "bonus" picture from my last Kaori's Latex Dreams shoot with Julian ;)

I hope you're all enjoying the weather!

In the spotlight with Kaori's Latex Dreams and Julian Kilsby!

More photos from my Kaori's Latex Dreams shoot with Julian Kilsby, as promised! Which do you think is best?

I did the hair and makeup :) Julian gave me as much time as I wanted to style myself so I felt like I could experiment with new old styles from my Style Me Vintage: Hair book. This was a modified version of victory rolls :)

I just finished Day 2 of modelling Jerry Ghionis' Ice Light at The Societies Convention; last day tomorrow! I seem to be spending as much time chatting to photographers passing the stand as I am modelling! For a model, I've been around for a Jurassic length of time- 6.5 years- and at an average rate of about 3 shoots a week, you can imagine how many people I've worked with! The Convention is a great place to catch up and see what people are planning for the coming year :) I may already have managed to swing a trip to Norway this year, fingers crossed! I love visiting new places and shooting under the Northern Lights would be a real experience.

I'm now relaxing with a glass of the Cotes Du Rhone I brought back from France last night and watching a bit of Fawlty Towers! Good end-of-day vegging out fare. Now I just need to make and pack my salad and smoothie for the last day of the trade show tomorrow. Duty calls!

I am not a photograph feat. Kaori's Latex Dreams

I am just sooo busy atm with work, it's crazy!

I have about two months' worth of photos to post, since I was too busy to deal with them before Asia and unable to post them while in Asia (my iPad doesn't like writing blogs and I didn't take my laptop with me), then when I got back, I was instantly snowed under with shooting with the British and European clients who were unable to book me or meet me at castings for five weeks while I was away.

I've been to Singapore, Hong Kong, Hamburg, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and all over London and the southeast, of course, as well as Somerset and Calais for Christmas with my mum and Christmas with my dad, respectively! So, sorry that I've not been updating very regularly, but please remember that I'm more than a photograph, I'm a real person with one of those "life" things ;)

Liam and I had our own Christmas yesterday, would you believe it, because it was the first time we'd been home together at the same time and able to do it! Yes, on 3rd January we switched on the fairy lights, had a delicious roast turkey dinner with colcannon and mulled wine and opened presents under a decorated tree while watching Gremlins! We even pulled some Christmas crackers so we could wear the paper hats ^_^

Here are some photos from my Kaori's Latex Dreams shoot with Julian Kilsby, just before I left for Singapore in early November. I absolutely love working with Julian- he is a latex photographing genius! I did the hair and makeup myself. It was my first attempt at victory rolls, with my Style Me Vintage: Hair book propped open in front of me in the dressing room. It didn't necessarily look authentically 1940s, but I quite liked the overall look nonetheless ;)

I will post the pictures for the other outfits we shot over the next week, so subscribe to my blog if you haven't already! Then I will start working on the photo backlog (I also have to do my tax return tomorrow, groo).

I am writing this on my shiny new MacBook Pro (new to me, anyway!), courtesy of Dan Hubbert, who is renting our spare room for the rare occassions he visits London from Stockholm. I just have to shoot with him when we're both in the same country at the same time. More photographers should offer items like this to models in exchange for shoots, I think- we all want/ need things like laptops, tablets, iPods, Kindles etc etc for work and travel and it seems smart and ecologically sound.

I'm still getting the hang of using it- I've always had PCs, up until now- but I'm sure once I'm used to it I will be able to do more with it than I could my little old Dell! I still need to work out how to get an image's URL though, and how to do what I used to call "right-click-nicking" images from the web, i.e. saving them to my computer, as well as creating folders for all my documents and so on. I'm sure I'll get there! :)

Most importantly, I have already ordered a pink keyboard cover- just need to find a baby pink shell to fit a 17" screen so that my MacBook will match my iPad and Kindle :D

Christmas Cards and Calendars!

I just learned that two people found my blog this week by searching for "giant didgeridoo". I hope they found what they were looking for. I'm pretty certain I've never once mentioned didgeridoos, giant or otherwise, in my blog, so how did they end up here? Anyway, giant didgeridoo, giant didgeridoo, giant didgeridoo. That should fuck up Google.

The point of me writing to you this time is actually to let you know that I have two exciting new products in my Shop- chic couture Christmas cards AND a cute LATEX 2013 poster calendar! You could buy them both to make great gifts for your friends and lovers- just £7 per person to give them a thoughtful, unique gift with a little wink that will keep them thinking of you (and me) all year!

The Christmas Card (£5 for 5 cards):

Photographer: David Angel

Isn't it tasteful and gorgeous compared to all the red and green glittery cartoon Santas and candycanes you see on the high street every single year?? The only "glitter" is the sunlight sparkling through the snowy trees! There is nothing like really stylish, elegant stationery to make a good impression, and these cards work out at only £1 per friend! They also don't have any dates on them, so you could perfectly well stock up for next year!

The 2013 Calendar (£10 £6):

Photographer: Julian M Kilsby

These calendars are also a real bargain! They are the exact same size and quality as my pin-ups, but instead of being £10 each, for a limited time, they will be £6 only! Get them while you can! I'm sure one of my 2013 calendars will really brighten up your home and/ or office as well as coming in useful for remembering important dates over the coming year!

Browse my shop and order now while stocks last!

Love and kisses,

Anita xoxo

Home improvements, Anita style!

Well, the renovation of my 1930s apartment is well and truly underway! My landlord is a fan of plain white walls, contemporary pine furniture and minimalist decor (ugh! Yuk!) so there was plenty to do to turn it back into something like the charming little pad it (possibly) once was! I must be one of the few women in the world who consider a "home improvement" to be taking one's home back in time instead of modernising it! It is surprising how sensitive we are to our surroundings. I feel so much happier, more relaxed and at home in my own home now that it is starting to feel less like someone else's house and more like my own life-size doll's house!

The hallway and landing have been repainted and I have replaced the dusty linen shades with glittering chandeliers I had imported from Germany. There is a matching third one over my bed. It makes very pretty, sparkling patterns on the ceiling, especially when the light is dimmed!

Photo Darren Birkin and I took on my landing yesterday! I did all the styling, of course! The bra was made from an original 1950s spiral stitched bullet bra design from What Katie Did and the shoes are from Fabulously Fetish.

I decorated the kitchen and bathroom with a 1950s theme, to balance vintage glamour with modern conveniences. 1930s would simply have been too old-fashioned for these rooms, which I have to use and live in- I would not have been able to have a fitted kitchen with a washing machine or microwave oven, for a start!

I hope to do a little photo shoot or two with vintage 1950s dresses in the kitchen once it's had its last little details finished, but in the meantime, here is a little snap I took of its progress on my phone while the decorator was having a coffee break!

Marilyn watches over my Kilner jars! She was an enthusiastic cook and even wrote her own book of (fairly complicated) recipes. The space on the end of the shelf is where the champagne will live ;)

My decorator will be back in two weeks, so that's my deadline to gather the paint and vintage wallpaper for the living room. I like a challenge!! I have a very clear idea of how it should look in my mind, but it would probably sound awful to most people if I described it! For one thing, I want there to be an exotic animal motif, à la 1930s China. Two of my holy grails for this room are a really full-tailed peacock to perch on the TV cabinet and a vintage bear or leopard rug in front of the fire, like this:

This instantly makes me think of The Munsters' house, which was my dream home when I was 18!

I'm not really sure where my fascination with taxidermy comes from because I hated it when I was a little girl. I've always been a big animal-lover and the idea of having dead animals scattered about the place just didn't appeal. Perhaps it's because since then I have spent so much time watching old films and looking at old glamour photographs from the 1920s - 50s, which so often involve taxidermy.

My attitude also changed when I found out that these days, people aren't allowed to kill animals in order to stuff them- modern taxidermy happens after the animal has died from natural causes, even from being hit by a car. In that way I think it's quite a beautiful thing to preserve that animal's natural beauty and spirit. I don't have a problem with antique taxidermy either as I figure that whoever potentially unethically created it is no longer with us and thus cannot profit from my purchase!

I know, I know, I'm probably not the most inoffensive person in the world. I like taxidermy, I like wearing certain furs, there are hundreds of photos of me smoking out there (even though I hate cigarette smoke, a cigarette in an antique holder is a classic accessory for glamour photos!), I like bondage and submission and fuel-guzzling vintage cars and sexy lingerie and prancing around in the great outdoors in the buff. But wouldn't the world be a duller place without all these things? I guess we all have our potentially offensive pleasures!

I don't mean to get on my soapbox, but it can become a little tiring to receive complaints almost every time a photo of me holding a drink, a cigarette, or wearing one my (fake!!) fur stoles appears on the internet.

Still, at least people are looking at my photos, I suppose!

Gosh, that was a bit of a tangent, I'd better sign off now before I witter on any further!!

Interview with Bella Morte magazine

Just relaxing after a long photo shoot in London today with a little blogging before I go and unpack my suitcase, clean my makeup brushes and re-pack ready for no less than FOUR photo shoots in London tomorrow!

I had a new interview out in the USA's Bella Morte magazine (issue 10) yesterday, which is the only magazine I've ever seen that revolves around features and interviews with "celebrity" alternative models. I'm on page 18! As of today you can order a copy online here (hence I didn't post about it until today)- they ship internationally :) I've already ordered my copy!

If you haven't already spotted it on anitadebauch.com, here's the digital tearsheet! You can read the full interview on anitadebauch.com!

Click here for a larger version so you can read the interview!

Be sure to email the editor on sonjalux@bellamortemagazine.com and tell her how much you like it- I'd love a cover next time and you can help me get it! If I do end up shooting a cover, I'll be stocking hand signed and kissed copies for you De Bauchees in my Shop, of course!

Love and kisses,

'The Many Faces of Anita'

I can't work out how to post it in my actual blog, but there is a full screen HD slideshow of photos from the Yerburys' Portraiture Superclass at the SWPP Convention 2012 by Alan High

-->>HERE<<--

Alan has titled it The Many Faces of Anita- Classic Beauty :)

I've also updated the anitadebauch.com Shop with new glossy latex photographs by Julian Kilsby to buy for just £10 (approx. US$15) + shipping, featuring famous British designers Anatomic Bomb and Kaori's Latex Dreams!

The photos are printed at 8" x 10" (just smaller than A4) to perfectly fit standard picture frames and can be personally signed and kissed at no additional charge! Just mention "SIGNED" on your payment form at checkout :) Let me know which is your favourite and whether there is anything else that you'd like to be available :)

After a home-cooked lunch of pulse spaghetti and Quorn bolognaise, boyfy and I strolled to The Phoenix this afternoon to catch the last screening of The Artist. It was such a beautiful, feel-good film! And I feel so inspired to try my hand at Marcel waves now!

Films I need to buy on DVD because I was just too busy working to see them at the cinema:
  • My Week With Marilyn (I went to Asia before it came out and didn't get back to the UK until it had finished, haha)
  • The Iron Lady
  • The Help

Film I will definitely watch at the cinema when it comes out:
  • A Dangerous Method

Happy Valentine's Day, De Bauchees!

Wishing my friends and fans a very happy Valentine's Day a little early as I plan on being absent from the computer for a couple of days now while I hole up with Liam, sexy lingerie and champagne at The Savoy ;)

If you're single this year, send yourself a Valentine- you deserve it! Nothing says self-sufficiency like buying your choice of flowers, sweets and perfume ;) Or, indeed, a pair of my stockings, if you're a foot fetishist!

I'm just about to step out of my front door with my man and my weekend bag but I'll leave you with photos of a BRAND NEW design from Kaori's Latex Dreams! There are more photos in the online catalogue :)

Love the 3D rubber lips!

Lots of kisses! xxx

Peacock

I've recently developed a minor obsession with peacocks, starting when I put a vase of peacock feathers on top of my 1930s radio in the living room and was suddenly overcome with the irresistible desire to redecorate the whole room in a blue deco peacock palette topped off with a real taxidermy peacock to perch on the wall!

So, you can imagine how much I enjoyed shooting this Peacock Body Suit for Kaori's Latex Dreams last month! The cut-out design is so cheeky yet so flattering! You can see more photos in the Kaori's Latex Dreams online catalogue if you like :)

Photographer: Julian Kilsby | Hair: Leigh-Anne Regan | MUA: me!

I also finally finally found a vintage 1930s folding peacock fire screen on eBay, which I've been wanting for a while! It was a real bargain because it needed a good clean. A whole bottle of Brasso, several episodes of Sex and the City and a lot of elbow grease later, it was restored to its former glory in its new home :)

This guy in the centre looks like Pazuzu from The Exorcist to me!! It's even better to snuggle up in front of now that the snow's back :)

Yesterday I was shooting for A List celebrity couturier, Beyond Burlesque, and ethical fur/ feather/ bone accessory designer, Roadkill Couture, in a secret garden location in Hampstead in the snow :)

In the evening I helped to host a party at the Olympic Cinema, which is in the process of being refurbished and reopened thanks to the generosity of a group of members and used to be Olympic Studios!

I got a real thrill out of changing into my corset in Pete Tong's old recording studio and swanning around the rooms where some of my favourite records by everyone from the Beatles to The Cure to David Bowie to Depeche Mode to Jimi Hendrix to Madonna to Nick Cave to the Rolling Stones to Queen to Shirley Bassey to the Spice Girls to Stiff Little Fingers to The Verve to The Who were made! Yes, I was in rockstar  heaven!

The magic of the evening was rounded off nicely when I emerged from the building at 10.30 pm to find that it was snowing and the trees were laced with fairy lights <3

Today I had two very fun shoots with two different photographer friends and tomorrow I will be stalking the runway for the Playful Promises free Burlesque and Beating Hearts lingerie event in London with my good friend Roswell Ivory. Feel free to come along and see all the pretty pin-ups from 1 pm! :)
