Early Bird Special: up to £35 off half-day Somerset home shoots in January!

Firstly, more photos from my flamboyant orange suite in Amsterdam- this time in nothing but my Dita Von Teese Madame X knickers and Bareskin Beauty lotion! I loved this padded, spotlit headboard, so I slid a hardback book under the duvet to stop my high heels sinking too deeply and jumped aboard!

Info about the special offer is after the pictures!

You may have already seen this last one on Instagram.
#sorrynotsorry

I'm taking inspiration from this decadent, vintage "maximalist" (new favourite word) style of décor for my new house; a Victorian Gothic lounge with original oak panelling, an Art Nouveau library with a taxidermy peacock (he died of natural causes), a Chinese Deco boudoir with a fireplace nearly as tall as me, and the part that everyone seems most interested in, for some reason... the dungeon. I can't think why!

I am so eager to get photos of it in all its glory that I am offering a limited number of discounted one-on-one home shoots in January, when the renovating work will be done and it will be time to revel in its maximalist lusciousness, as well as enjoy playing hostess in my '50s country kitchen.

You could get up to £35 off a half-day shoot, which is a 20% discount! There are only three of the original 14 shoot slots left, so if you would like to book one of them before they're gone, please apply here today (link to PP casting call- opens in a new tab). If you know someone who might be interested in this unusual offer, please share this post on Twitter by using the little button at the very bottom- it looks like this.

So... what have I been doing?

I've had a strange sort of August... waiting to see if house #3 pans out is starting to get to me. I've felt homeless for the last two years. However, I have enjoyed the luxury of a summer in Somerset with no real ties... the weather and the little towns are beautiful. There are some great restaurants, pubs and days out to be had here. But I would like my own place to return to at the end of each day.

Something I have learned through trying to buy a house here and (so far) having had two fall through, through no fault of my own, is how dumb and self-entitled rich people can be. I was sort of raised to think that if you're rich, you probably got there by being smart and working hard. Well, I'm now dealing with my second millionaire in a row, and he appears to be just as dense and lazy as the first one. I feel like if I had that kind of money, I would use it better ;) For example, we had to break off with buying the last house we were interested in (the really big one!) because at the last minute, the (millionaire) seller asked us to pay his £5000 back-taxes for him. Uh.......................... no?

So having thrown literally thousands of pounds around this summer already and still being no closer to having our own home than we were a year ago, things have felt tough. I finally have a really excellent/ scary London lawyer on my side now, who is a partner in her own law firm, so hopefully that will help move things along. I really want to be in the new place by October, in time for my favourite holiday!

I've ended up getting a lot of little bookings in a lot of different places next month, which is unexpected and exciting. I love travelling :) Here is my current list... if you'd like to book me for a shoot in any of these places, email me! contact@anitadebauch.com. I've rented a car for Ireland, which should make getting around a lot easier and more efficient!

The Milan Fashion Week booking came in just last night. It's not what you think ;) Stay tuned and keep an eye on the news.

I'm planning on giving myself a big makeover over Christmas this year, while I'm off work... let's see how that turns out. Today I'm starting small by experimenting with some wigs and the many, many Mya Minerals eyeshadows I seem to have acquired (thank you!) :) She also sent me something called Fairy Dust, which is supposed to be for highlighting your face, but I'm thinking of dusting my body with it for fashion nudes and bodyscapes. Hmm...

I'm supposed to be saving money atm, but it's hard when you have a shoe fetish... I was bad and bought these:

I plan on having a wall of floor-to-ceiling shelves in the new place, dedicated only to shoes... *dreams* One day, I want to have a whole room dedicated to nothing but shoes, hats, corsets, sunglasses, latex, lingerie, jewellery, dresses and playsuits! I will eventually need one, that's for sure.

I really feel like I should post some modelling pictures now! Here are a couple of new natural-light portraits shot this summer, if you haven't already seen them on Instagram. I did my own hair and makeup as usual, and the skincare is all from Bareskin Beauty :)

Peng Towers :')

After spending over a year trying to purchase my dream house (my dream house was not the bank's dream house!), I got some magical, life-changing, opportunity-opening news this afternoon: I am finally, finally buying my first house!

:')

I'm glad that it took so long and various other places slipped through my fingers, because it forced me to wait long enough to come across the bargain of the Nineteenth Century: a much bigger and better place than I could have hoped for, which is going to open a wealth of artistic opportunities, and make a beautiful home- the kind I've dreamed about since I was a little girl :D

I don't have any photos yet, but it will be redecorated from top to bottom before I'm done anyway, so I'll just describe it for now!

It's a three-storey Victorian house with high ceilings and big windows, perfect for photography, with French doors leading onto the courtyard downstairs, and a rooftop garden. There is enough space to have my own office, library, cinema, and a yoga/ meditation room hidden behind a secret door, as well as the usual lounge, kitchen, dining and powder rooms, and a couple of spare bedrooms for my model friends to stay in when they come and visit! I love making breakfast for guests; organic almond lattes, freshly squeezed juice, and poached eggs from the local rescue hens are my specialities!

I have no idea yet when I will actually be in and unpacked; hopefully by the summer. For now, I'm just making Pinterest boards of decor ideas and adding to my Amazon Wish List with growing excitement :D

New House is going to be re-christened Peng Towers, a nod towards my six years spent living in London while I established my career, and I hope it will be used for all of the following at various points:

  1. photo shoots
  2. making a music video
  3. making a movie
  4. making art films
  5. making fetish movies
  6. having big parties
  7. writing a novel
  8. recording music
  9. having sex in every single room
  10. collecting antiques
  11. practising French
  12. mixing cocktails (I have my eye on an Art Nouveau cocktail cabinet to go with my various vintage glasses...)

It's a short drive to Bristol, Bristol Airport and Glastonbury, closer to my nan, and 2.5 hours from London, so I shall be well-connected with the places I want to be. There is also a castle, caves and countryside!

If you'd like to help me with any of the above points (bar #9, which I can arrange myself), do drop me a line: contact@anitadebauch.com.

I can't wait to see what my cats will make of Peng Towers; Dexter and Lilith love chasing each other up and down stairs, and this place has one huge staircase spanning three floors for them to race on! I know they will also appreciate having top storey windows to survey the outside world from! They love people-watching...

Many thanks to every client who has ever booked me for a modelling job. You are the reason I can do this! I am eternally grateful x

Good things come to those who...

I forgot to say before, but we ended up backing out of that C18th home we wanted to buy when the surveyor told us it was a total disaster zone. It was disappointing at the time, but I'm happy to report that we've now had our offer accepted on a much bigger, brighter and better value castle in the sky  :D

It's a Georgian townhouse with guest bedrooms for putting my model friends up in when they visit, space downstairs for a modest photo studio with French doors leading onto the patio, a library, meditation room and a rooftop garden with lovely views of the Somerset countryside. We can't wait to move in and I can't wait to shoot in it!

These photos are from Orchid Corsetry's AW15 campaign, which was launched on Saturday 31 October, shot by Salleh Sparrow in a huge abandoned house. (My skincare was provided by Bareskin Beauty and I did my own hair and makeup.) I love how she's picked up the luxurious texture of the fabric on this corset.

I think ^this^ one might be my personal favourite. It was tough not being allowed to share these images with you until after Halloween! Good things come to those who...

Bath night!

I'm on tour round Norfolk, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Nottingham and Bristol atm, so Friday was spent prepping for 8-9 days of shooting:

  • Full body wax (ow, but worth it!)
  • Mani/ pedi (my favourite part)
  • Dyeing hair
  • Shaping eyebrows
  • Working out hard all this week! Lots of yoga, Pilates and tai chi :)
  • Laundry
  • Cleaning makeup brushes
  • Getting the car valeted (I'm in it a LOT)
  • Booking hotel rooms
  • Packing
  • Buying bunny slippers (most important)
  • Going on a date :)

This photo was taken by lovely Glenn Cockerill at a beautiful C13th stately manor here in Somerset last month :) I did the hair and makeup using Bareskin Beauty skincare and Mya Minerals makeup.

My slippers and I are currently staying with my good friend Ivory Flame in Leicester. We watched The Conjuring last night after a nice little Lunar Samhain dinner and both ended up hiding under the duvet, screaming. The soup was great, though.

Castle in the clouds complete with Prince Charming? Check!

Great news! Boyfy and I put in an offer on our first house, and it was accepted! It was the one I mentioned at the end of my last blog that has a huge old fireplace, library, courtyard and dungeon :D

(Apologies if you already know this from my InstagramTwitter!)

It's an apartment in a massive Georgian house in the country. We knew it was ours the moment we clapped eyes on it! Thank you so much to everyone who has booked me over the last two years- it was entirely your constant support that funded my half of the deposit :) As far as I'm aware, I'm one of maybe four art nude models in the whole country who's managed to buy a place purely with modelling money... baby-boomer photographers proclaiming that models over-charge, take note ;)

There is a chance we might be able to move in to our first home by Christmas! :) Visualise this fireplace decorated with fir tree branches, holly and candles if you will (I am!) with deer antlers above and a live tree covered in tiny gold fairy lights in the corner :D

CGI by anonymous local artist :p Those are my cats, btw.

I love old buildings; they instantly make me feel at home. They almost seem alive and with their own personalities that they've accumulated over time. Here is a shot from a recent shoot with one of my favourite photographers in one of my favourite locations, The Pit Studio in Nottingham, a massive Victorian Gothic set of high-ceilinged rooms with big windows and an air of beauty in decay. I will try and do a studio day there on 17 October @ £50ph, if any photographers reading this are interested :)

I am having a wonderful time writing to do and to buy lists for the new house... I should really get my head back in the game and get on with booking tours for October and November!

One Man and His Model

Hello to everyone coming over from Facebook and Instagram to see the uncensored tearsheet! I'm the main image in Tim Pile's art nude photography editorial in Good Light magazine, from back when I had two-tone orange hair :)

I love shooting artistic nudes in natural light, whether it's the soft pink of dawn, what I call "Nature's Hollywood lighting" at midday, the giant softbox effect of an overcast afternoon, or the warm golden evening light, right before the sun sets. I'm really happy that my Somerset Photographic Tours have proved so popular and I've been able to do so much location work already this summer :)

I had 2.5 hours of yoga and Pilates lessons yesterday morning, followed by lunch at my favourite arthouse café in Cheddar, Café Sketch. They do yummy, healthy vegan options. I have so much energy today that I'm not sure what to channel it into! It's lucky I'm at a festival this weekend, I'm perfectly in the mood for a big all-night party with friends! :D

Porta-model!

I love this fun new art nude piece by Tim Pile. We found this great old trunk on location that I just LOVED and had to climb around naked in :D I love glamorous luggage! Thanks to Bareskin Beauty, Tim didn't have to retouch my skin in Photoshop at all for this shot :)

I'm having a lovely time celebrating my first Beltane weekend. Glastonbury is certainly the place to be! I missed actual May Day as my love and I were both working, so I just read about some traditional Beltane celebrations in my Almanack. They're pretty steamy! There's one that involves all the men carving a huge phallus from a fallen tree. The women all kind of hump it and then it gets symbolically lowered into a special hole in the ground the women dug. Then they basically all have an orgy, from what I could tell. Gosh!

Yesterday, we went shopping in Glastonbury. The atmosphere was electric! I got a full body wax and bought myself some treats, including my favourite, raw chocolate, which is an aphrodisiac, and treated myself to an almond milk latte at La Terre.

The lady who ran the shop where I bought the incense and the book wished me a happy Beltane and said, "We have until Monday to misbehave."

I like to misbehave all year :) It's hard for people to feel free enough to act the way they want to all the time, I guess, which is probably why we assign certain days for certain things. I wish it was more of a taboo to hide your true nature than express it.

I think I'm going to make some scented candles today. I'm all out, except for little soy tealights. I like good lighting EVERYWHERE, not just at photo shoots, and candlelight is the most flattering of an evening :)

Feel free to follow me on Twitter for more nude photos :)

Tenebrous magazine, April 2015

I have not one, not two, but THREE DOUBLE-PAGE SPREADS in this month's issue of Tenebrous magazine, in a Libidex latex fashion editorial shot on location by Magpie Tommy :)

Not bad, considering we did the whole shoot in about ten minutes flat! It was February, at night, in Norfolk... so cold, I actually went jogging while the equipment was being set up! Luckily, my skin didn't dry out. Go go Bareskin Beauty moisturisers!

In unrelated news, I'm listing a few things on eBay, so feel free to look through them and add me to your watch list- there's more to follow.
