Self-Styling at KVmedia Studios, the theatre of illusion!

I know I've said this before, but my goodness, what a difference a little styling makes!

The following photos were taken within a 2 hour shoot at KVmedia Studios in London with Nigel Ferguson. I did my hair and makeup throughout, but Neil wardrobe styled the first shot with a neon green buckled Versace waistcoat and my patent ballet heels.

I styled the second shot into a 1920s fashion theme, using my turban, fox, a favourite LBD and Fabulously Fetish shoes. It's fun to see a 20s style shot in full colour- not something one would have seen much of in the actual 20s!

See the difference? And people comment on how "over"-filled my wardrobe is! As far as I am concerned, every individual on earth has an almost infinite number of aspects of themselves that they could express through different costumes, if they wanted to, so it truly isn't possible to have "too many" clothes, shoes or accessories! Not the most scientific of theories, perhaps, but then where is the fun in boiling the photographic theatre of illusion that is modelling down to bare facts? I prefer the deception, fun and fantasy of costume and styling, any day!

If you are a photographer who would like to shoot with me at a discounted rate at KVmedia Studios on 22nd April, there are just two "package" shoots left, a 2 hour one @ £100 and a 3 hour one @ £150! Please click here for details or email me directly at contact@anitadebauch.com to reserve your shoot, before they're gone! ;)

Bangkok Airport

I have an hour to kill before the hotel taxi takes me back to the airport for my second attempt at flying to Tokyo :p And on the theme of airports, here are some snaps from Bangkok Airport, where I had to stay overnight on my way from Hong Kong to Singapore (no choice!).

Before I left Hong Kong, I had a great fashion shoot in the executive suite on the 81st floor of L'hotel Nina!

This is pretty much all you can do with a leather jacket in the Hong Kong heat ;p
Photographer: Teddy So | Styling: me

Then it was off to Bangkok Airport, to camp in Starbucks for approximately 17 hours before my flight to Singapore. I was too scared to go into town in case I got stuck in the floods :s I passed some of the time by photographing the many interesting examples of Thai arts, crafts and shrines in the airport:

Some kind of massive sea serpent sculpture

These are called "stilt shoes"- a bit like ballet heels, but without the heel! The female opera singer's feet go pointy-toe first down each leg into the tiny false feet at the bottom to make it look like they have had their feet bound in the traditional Chinese way, for certain opera roles. Walking in stilt shoes is considered a real skill!

 Beautiful male opera singer's costume

Me next to a display in honour of "The Celebration on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King's 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary"

Cool (Buddhist?) shrine in the middle of the airport

Closeup of the pretty flowers and offerings at the shrine

Statue of a mythical Thai giant (it was so big that even kneeling down on the floor, I could only fit it all into frame by tilting the camera at an angle!)

Must dash now, just got buzzed for my taxi- hopefully the next time I blog, it will be from TOKYO! :D

Fetish Eyes "Anita De Bauch Tribute" 2012 Calendar

I'm on the cover of the official Fetish Eyes latex models 2012 calendar, and from what I can tell, 11 - 12 of the months inside, too (sometimes it's tough to tell who the girl is under all that rubber!). I've been allowed to preview it in advance of its release and these are my favourite shots in there, I think! Some of them are my most recent work, others are really old school, from when I was just starting out in the strange and sparkly world of modelling!

Latex + feathers is always good <3

 Latex elf-doll!

And that cool vintage aeroplane/ vintage car shot that was my first centerfold :)

Each A3 calendar features THIRTEEN colour images and is priced at £25. To order yours, send your payment via PayPal to keital@virginmedia.com with subject line "2012 Fetish Calendar" and your delivery address attached. Enjoy :) And let me know what you think when you've received yours :)

Liam and I had a very domestic day today... had a lie-in, bathed the cats, strolled to Sainsburys to do the shopping and then Liam took us for a late Sunday lunch at this lovely pub in a converted church that we go to quite a lot. I'm compensating for my chicken crockpot lunch with an Innocent veg pot for dinner. The Mexican one is the best ^^

EDIT 7.15 pm: I have just been informed by the Fetish Eyes webmaster that every photo in the calendar is of me because it is in fact an "Anita De Bauch Tribute Calendar"! I'm so flattered! *squee*

Weather Vain

I can't quite believe I haven't blogged about this yet...

I did a shoot for Weather Vain with Keital (the photographer who took that wonderful 1940s- themed shot for EctoMorph in my last blog) this May, with a vintage 1953 MG TD and even more excitingly, a vintage plane (1961 Jodel 140) that I got taken for a ride around the skies in afterwards!

The final Weather Vain shot

On the way to the shoot in a (modern!) Audi

Me catching some rays during a break in shooting- in the best possible outfit, given my complexion

View of Maidenhead from the plane

This is what I look like when I'm getting flown around in a teeny little vintage plane :D

Another view from the window- Keith did some rolls just for me!

This was a two-day assignment; on the other day we shot some very cool latex stuff that I think I will save for the members-only area of my website, once it is completed (go bookmark the page now!) ;) Here's a little preview:

Congratulations Gregory Brown, Erotic Photographer of the Year!

Congratulations are in order to Gregory Brown, who was awarded Photographer of the Year at the Erotic Awards 2011 (it so happens that I modelled for Jane Doe Latex  at the Erotic Awards last year... sadly I was too busy to make it this year). I'm delighted for him, and even more so that one of his photos of me helped to win the award :)

Greg recently sent me some new, unseen photos from the same shoot!

 Male model: John Evans!

The last  few days have been utter madness, even for me! Tons of people viewing our apartment (see last blog!), I'm writing a book, shooting nearly every day, ironing out the details of this year's modelling tours, redecorating my bathroom, and to make things even more hectic, I bought two adorable and mischievous Sphynx kittens last weekend! There simply aren't enough hours in the day for all the work I'm doing right now, hence I'm blog-writing at midnight when I ought to be catching up on my beauty sleep (I'm only seeing my financial advisor tomorrow, but still)! You might have already seen them on my Facebook profile; if not, I will blog some photos of them soon :)

Ballet Heels in Singapore!

I just received this lovely new nude from my trip to Singapore in November :)

Photographer: Jeff Loo (I can't seem to find his website atm but will update with a link when I've got it!)

I was having a really good "balancing in ballet heels" day that day, lol. I've asked for a colour copy of this image as I seem to remember the background was a really poppin' pink that would look great with the pose and expression... I'll have to see if my memory was correct when Jeff emails it through! :)

In news very much unrelated to a nude photo blog, I have listed some of my shoot clothing on eBay here! There is a corset, a black tutu dress, a brand new PVC dress and several of my skirts. Enjoy! I have to make room in my wardrobe for the new corsets I'm ordering :D <3

Buffies Catalogue

I LOVE this dress! It's like something Nicky Wire (one of my personal style icons) would wear and you can buy your own here exclusively at bargainous high street prices! These photos have also been featured on the Buffies homepage as well as their online catalogue :)

 Photographer: Barrie Spence
Hair and makeup: me

I think I need to shoot this dress again with my ballet heels and give it a Black Swan theme :D

In other news, I just got a phone call booking me to shoot a hair fashion video with Stacey Broughton on Thursday for American company ScissorBoy, which has a readership of 30 000! I'll post the video here when it's done. Should be fun! :D

Anita De Bauch vs. Shaun Hodge @ MAD Studios

Yesterday's MAD Studios Day went so well- all the photographers were brilliant and from what I saw on backs of cameras everyone got some great shots :) I spent precisely 8 hours and 40 minutes pulling all sorts of crazy poses and teetering around in ballet boots and as a result am going to be very stiff for today's shoot. Luckily it's just going to be vintage lingerie so I won't need to bend myself into too many strange shapes!

Shaun Hodge was my last photographer of the day yesterday and kindly invited me back to his house afterwards to have dinner with him and his wife (mackerel, mmmm) and have a look at the results. I can't believe the variety of shots we managed to pull off in just 2 hours, you'd think we'd been at it the whole day! :)

I like how I look like I've been turned into alabaster in this one :)

Latex by Anatomic Bomb

Shaun's direction is fantastic- I would never have thought of this pose without him!

I really like the following shot because of the way the muscles in my shoulders, back and tummy are picked out so nicely, but can't decide whether it's better in colour or black and white! What do you think?

Opinions welcome :)

Right, now I need to go and wash yesterday's hairspray out of my hair ready for this afternoon's shoot. I'll be shooting in London all day Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday too, then heading to a friend's festival in Somerset at the weekend to drink cider and pogo around in a field :D

Spain, Days 4 & 5

Wow, England got well and truly pwn3d by Germany yesterday. I felt sorry for them when that goal wasn't counted but as the game went on it was pretty obvious it wouldn't have made any difference anyway! At least now maybe I'll stop hearing about football every 10 seconds!

Anyway, back to my recent trip to Spain...

Day 4

Day 4 was probably the most chilled out :) In the morning we shot outside this gorgeous little church by the crystal blue sea under the stunning blue sky:

L-R: Roswell Ivory (Faith), me and Iveta Niklova. Iveta being the only one not wearing a faintly offensive top.

I'd been commissioned to model for Drac-in-a-Box so Greg and I decided to shoot one of their outfits outside the church.

© Gregory Brown

(the outfit's available to buy on Drac's website now)

We also shot some nice blue-sea nudes. The various old people wandering along the seafront didn't even do much of a double-take. I love Spain!

© Gregory Brown

We had the afternoon off, so me and the girls went for a play on the beach, followed by a walk around town and ice-cream ^^

Iveta and me

Bolneuvo beach

It felt great to be on a sunny beach in March, having come from cold, rainy England!

Bolneuvo is a very sleepy little town with not much to do, so after our ice-creams we wandered back to the villa to sunbathe by the pool with beers and our books. Faith is a journalist as well as a model and was writing in her travel journal a lot, which was great as I am now cheating by reading her blog to jog my memory of what we did each day ;p

Day 5

Day 5 began quite crazily with all three of us models posing nude at an empty railway station. Unlike on the other days, we attracted an almost unbelievable amount of attention with cars parked everywhere and loads of people watching. They were being perfectly friendly but it still felt a bit strange and I was quite happy when we had got the shot and could move on to somewhere else!

Me and Iveta have the exact same "feck, it's freezing" body language, lol

After that we were shooting in a burned out building, which I much preferred, despite all the mosquitos!

Me doing my best Donnie Darko impression with a fishnet top on my head. © John Evans

We were shooting in this really black, sooty, burned out room for a while, where the walls were streaked black and everything on the floor was crispy and broken for a while before I decided that the shots needed that little extra "something". I eventually concluded I needed to look less pristine and more a reflection of the location, so I promptly started rubbing my hands on the walls and smearing black stuff all over me :)

© John Evans

It turned out that Faith had had the same idea but had really gone for it, actually lying in all the black stuff on the floor, so we had a fun time in the backseat of the car on the way to the final location for the day using every wet-wipe and ounce of body lotion we had scrubbing it off her xD

The last location was my kind of location- an abandoned tin factory (or something)! It was so post-apocalyptic/ industrial and cool-looking ^^

If you'd like to order a printed copy of any of these photos you can email John Evans for his ones, John Tisbury for his ones or Greg for his ones :) I'll blog about my last two days in Spain, with even more new photos and a bit of medical drama, tomorrow!!

I'm going to check out the 'Introduction to Acting' class at my acting studio tonight, which is one step up from the 'Acting for Complete Beginners' course that I'm about to finish (last lesson is tomorrow evening *sob*). I'm hoping that it won't be too expensive if I want to join it (which I'm sure I will)!
