No red lipstick?! *faints*

Here are some new beauty shots from my photo shoot with Adam Robertson this January. I normally can't stand being photographed without my red lipstick, but I have been shooting with Adam more or less since I started modelling so he is one of the very few I trust enough to let go of my lipstick security blanket for a few shots ;) Skincare by Bareskin Beauty.

"I don't care if people laugh at me." Interview with Anita De Bauch in Iniquity magazine

As well as the cover editorial, I also have an interview in the April issue of Iniquity, illustrated with pictures of me in a Lady Lucie Latex kitty outfit and Fabulously Fetish boots, shot by Adam Robertson! Skincare and cosmetics were supplied by Bareskin Beauty and Mya Minerals respectively.

Sensual Smiles and Stockings

Happy Valentine's weekend, my loves!

I can't believe I haven't blogged since Christmas. Sorry about that! I was unusually busy with shoots starting 3 January and have been travelling and organising further trips a lot. Hopefully you've been keeping up with me on Instagram or Twitter anyway :)

I thought today would be perfect for sharing these romantic shots taken by my friend Adam Robertson at his house. Adam is one of the photographers I recommend to models in my book, The "Ugly" Girl's Guide to Modelling (along with a list of other solid contacts).

Adam and I have been shooting together for nearly a decade, almost since we each started model photography on our respective sides of the camera. Adam was one of the few photographers in the early days who agreed to shoot TFP with me to help build each other's portfolios. Since then, we have both progressed to doing what we love full-time, and still catch up with a photo shoot when our schedules allow.

Lingerie is by Playful Promises and organic skincare by Bareskin Beauty. I did my own hair and makeup using Mya Minerals as usual :)

The blooper reel! Out-takes and snatched snaps. Happy April Fool's Day!

Happy Wednesday!

Despite an awful start to the day with a photographer cancelling a full day last-minute and refusing to pay, I'm reading a new book, The Beauty Detox Power, and have just finished my Glowing Green Smoothie, so feeling pretty zenned-out and ready to post some April Fools-related photos from my shoots to cheer myself up!

All of these are outtakes, lighting tests, and so on, not the photos that usually get to see the light of day ;) I think it's fun to share pictures like this sometimes!

Me and Chloe-Jasmine Whichello at a shoot for Beyond Burlesque, which ended up in a British Vogue bridal advertorial (not this shot, though!)

Me "assisting" Stephen Perry at Twiggy's shoot for Who Do You Think You Are? I was absolutely thrilled when she pulled me in for this shot!

Out-take of me chatting to Adam Robertson, the photographer, during this fun lingerie/ glamour shoot. Even though it's not really a "modelling" shot, I like this photo as I think it looks much more like I'd probably look if I was just hanging out with my boyfriend, rather than posing and trying to "look good for the camera".

Me wittering to Dita Von Teese at top speed when I met her at Bloomingdale's in New York.
Photo by David Prutting/ BFA Photo.

Me pulling faces during a lighting test at my shoot for Kaori's Latex Dreams with Luci Alice last month. I posted a "proper" photo from this shoot on Facebook today.

Shooting a cover and editorial for Spain's BeDeSeMe magazine with Luci Alice at my London apartment, when Dexter decided to photo bomb us!

At a Fabulously Fetish shoe fitting with Lady Allura. I'm not actually sure who took this picture!

Have a great day :)

'Anita De Bauch on Nylons' editorial in Sinical magazine

My second editorial in Sinical in two months is now out :) (I was interviewed about my thoughts on modelling, fetish and what I like to do in my spare time in the last issue, the Nylons Special Edition.) This time, instead of being interviewed, I wrote an article on my love of vintage nylon stockings to accompany a lovely pictorial in my Playful Promises lingerie, shot by my friend Adam Robertson. I did the makeup and bed-head hair, and the skincare was provided by Bareskin Beauty :)

^ Click the image to see a slightly larger version.

You can order a copy of the magazine here or download a free PDF of it here (I'm on pages 10-13) :)

I love this elegant style of retro lingerie... elegance really had a greater meaning in decades past! It wasn't just a costume you put on once or twice a year for a wedding or a New Year's do... it was something intrinsic to everything you created around you. Not just the visible dress at a fancy party, but the lingerie underneath, the perfect manicure with matte polish, the earrings, the chic handbag (never a knock-off!), the hair styling, the subtle hint of perfume... and the home you got ready in, the lighting there, the furniture, the wallpaper, the music you played and the cocktail you mixed while your curlers were setting... the way you straightened your hat and put on your neatly tailored gloves before stepping out to go to the Post Office, the bank and the train station that day.... oh, it was another time! I love to recreate it in my life and in my work, exactly as I imagine it!

If you are a photographer and would like to shoot something like this with me, I am currently available to shoot at Creativus Imago Studio in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, at:

  • 2pm onwards on Thursday 22 January
  • 10.10 - 1.10pm on Saturday 24 January

There are great all-inclusive packages on offer, e.g. 3 hours on the 24th for £167.50 for me, the studio, the sets and a professional hair and makeup artist! Please email me at contact@anitadebauch.com with your preferred date, if you have one, and I'll give you the full run-down on what's on offer :)

And now I finish today's blog so that I can carry on doing my tax return... how very glamorous!

The Sexiest Blogger on the Net (apparently) #tbt

I'm excited to have been named one of The 10 Sexiest Bloggers on the Net Right Now today! And felt it only fitting to post a sexy blog to celebrate and welcome my new readers :)

This is my weekly #ThrowbackThursday post, where I find some oldies but goldies from the vaults, from when my hair was BLACK!

These ones are from my very first attempt at doing a more "mainstream" glamour look with Adam Robertson a LONG time ago... maybe 2007/8?

You can have my blogs automatically emailed to you by subscribing to this blog using the widget on the top right of the page! It's completely free and always will be, you can unsubscribe at any time, and it means you don't have to keep checking back here for new photos and things :)

With some extra sexy love,

Anita xx

Professional Photographer, August 2010

Home again, home again, jiggetty-jig. I'm back in London and missing Liam already >.< He's in Somerset with his family right now. Ah well, I'm shooting with a photographer I've never worked with before at a London studio tomorrow so that should take my mind off it :) I was supposed to be shooting in Prague this week but it got postponed due to the stupid Czech weather to some time next month- in London. I'd rather visit Prague again, but oh well!

Now I've got my silly whinging out of the way I can share a bit of good news- I'm in the editorial of the latest issue of Professional Photographer magazine. One of the photographers I'm working with on my West Country Tooh-arr sent me this and it cheered me up :)

Photographer: Adam Robertson

I think I also forgot to post last month that my eye was in the July 2010 issue of Photo Pro magazine! It was from a shoot I did with Christian Hough for the editorial on new photographic equipment.

It seems like I'm always working/ travelling during the hours that newsagents tend to be open so I almost never get to see physical copies of my tearsheets, but luckily there are nice people out there who send me scans (many thanks Nicolas and John!) :) <3
