General waffle/ procrastination + butt (NSFW)

I seem to be in a permanent state of excitement/ over-stimulation with so many upcoming trips and projects atm, that I constantly feel that I hardly know what to do with myself! Part of it is nerves. e.g. "Will this damn house come through?" We are tantalisingly close to exchanging now and I can't bear the thought of it all falling through again- but I just have to be patient and wait and see! Patience is not my strong point. If something needs doing, I like to go ahead and get it done! Having something drag on for months with endless email tennis does not come naturally to me :(

I'm going to be finishing 2016 by travelling round Ireland and continental Europe, starting on 1 September and finishing in December! :) Although I've technically been to a couple of the places before, there will still be new experiences waiting for me there- e.g. I have visited Milan a couple of times, both for shooting and on holiday, but never during Fashion Week, so that will be a first (although I have walked at London Fashion Week and been invited to sit in the second row with SHOWstudio at Singapore Fashion Week, which was great). Other places I'll be going to, like Amsterdam, are completely new to me :) I'm taking care to reserve a couple of days here and there at the more interesting places to be a tourist and visit the sights I might never have got to see if it weren't for modelling.

Speaking of modelling... here are some new photos shot in natural light by Tim Bircher :) Many thanks to Bareskin Beauty for the organic skincare and Mya Minerals for the vegan cosmetics used for this shoot.

Jobs for today: dye hair, call estate agent, make a last-minute mani-pedi appointment, various online check-ins, give Dexter a bath and figure out what I need to bring with me to Ireland for a two-week trip... probably not all that much as I think everyone wants to shoot nudes.

So... what have I been doing?

I've had a strange sort of August... waiting to see if house #3 pans out is starting to get to me. I've felt homeless for the last two years. However, I have enjoyed the luxury of a summer in Somerset with no real ties... the weather and the little towns are beautiful. There are some great restaurants, pubs and days out to be had here. But I would like my own place to return to at the end of each day.

Something I have learned through trying to buy a house here and (so far) having had two fall through, through no fault of my own, is how dumb and self-entitled rich people can be. I was sort of raised to think that if you're rich, you probably got there by being smart and working hard. Well, I'm now dealing with my second millionaire in a row, and he appears to be just as dense and lazy as the first one. I feel like if I had that kind of money, I would use it better ;) For example, we had to break off with buying the last house we were interested in (the really big one!) because at the last minute, the (millionaire) seller asked us to pay his £5000 back-taxes for him. Uh.......................... no?

So having thrown literally thousands of pounds around this summer already and still being no closer to having our own home than we were a year ago, things have felt tough. I finally have a really excellent/ scary London lawyer on my side now, who is a partner in her own law firm, so hopefully that will help move things along. I really want to be in the new place by October, in time for my favourite holiday!

I've ended up getting a lot of little bookings in a lot of different places next month, which is unexpected and exciting. I love travelling :) Here is my current list... if you'd like to book me for a shoot in any of these places, email me! contact@anitadebauch.com. I've rented a car for Ireland, which should make getting around a lot easier and more efficient!

The Milan Fashion Week booking came in just last night. It's not what you think ;) Stay tuned and keep an eye on the news.

I'm planning on giving myself a big makeover over Christmas this year, while I'm off work... let's see how that turns out. Today I'm starting small by experimenting with some wigs and the many, many Mya Minerals eyeshadows I seem to have acquired (thank you!) :) She also sent me something called Fairy Dust, which is supposed to be for highlighting your face, but I'm thinking of dusting my body with it for fashion nudes and bodyscapes. Hmm...

I'm supposed to be saving money atm, but it's hard when you have a shoe fetish... I was bad and bought these:

I plan on having a wall of floor-to-ceiling shelves in the new place, dedicated only to shoes... *dreams* One day, I want to have a whole room dedicated to nothing but shoes, hats, corsets, sunglasses, latex, lingerie, jewellery, dresses and playsuits! I will eventually need one, that's for sure.

I really feel like I should post some modelling pictures now! Here are a couple of new natural-light portraits shot this summer, if you haven't already seen them on Instagram. I did my own hair and makeup as usual, and the skincare is all from Bareskin Beauty :)

Cynical Fashion Lady Allura's Latex editorial, June 2015 issue

I forgot that I have a six-page Lady Allura's Latex editorial in the June 2015 issue of Cynical Fashion, shot in an Irish abbey by Seamus Costelloe :)

Roswell Ivory is in the same issue, so it's well worth it to order a copy.

Come and join me on Facebook if you haven't already!

3 Goals for 2015

1.   More art nude shoots

Here's to an Art Nude 2015!

I've been desperate to focus more on this side of my work for months, and really want to make it happen more in 2015. I think that I am more known for my stylised fetish and retro looks than for shooting natural, dreamy, classic art nudes and figure studies, so this is something I need to address. People tend to only know you for the last photo they saw of you.

Some of my previous art nude work:

Photographer: 25th Century Quaker in New York

Photographer: John Murray in Dublin

Photographer: Dirk Glassly

I'm going to spend more time studying important art nude photographers' work and planning how I can bring something special to my shoots, including finding great locations and props to work with, but also working on myself and my posing. I'll also see if I can find an appropriate course to do on the history of nude art.

2.   Appreciating British and Irish heritage

I want to try and see as many ancient/ mystical sites as possible in the UK and Ireland this year, which I will hopefully be able to tie in with modelling tours, and quite possibly art nude shoots, for the more remote ones! I have to travel more anyway now that I'm not living in London, so I'm going to turn that into a positive and make the most of it :)

3.    My own hobbit hole

I want to buy the cutest dwelling on the planet this year, and live in it!

A cottage would be okay, but I also like the idea of a more alternative way of life, for example on a boat or in a caravan, generating my own energy, growing my own food and living amongst nature rather than in a concrete box. It was fun while it lasted, but now I want something different! :)

*goes to set up a Pinterest board*

What are your goals, hopes, dreams or ambitions for this year? Tell me all about them!

#FetishFriday 'Andrew McMeekin photographs Anita De Bauch': behind the scenes film of a hair fashion shoot

I thought it would be fun to post this behind the scenes film for #FetishFriday, as I thought plenty of my blog readers would like to see a latex shoot actually in progress, but it's also interesting as a hair/ retro fashion shoot. I think the black catsuit was my favourite outfit but I liked the cherry print Marilyn Monroe dress too :)

I was commissioned for this shoot to promote Andrew McMeekin's photography services in Lowestoft, Norfolk- he has a studio above his salon, Robert Owen Haircutters, so it's really convenient for getting your hair done nicely before your portrait session. I posted the photos from our shoot in my blog, here and here :)

This week has mostly been spent organising my Irish Tour in July, which is very exciting as I love visiting Ireland, working with some of my favourite photographers, and meeting new ones. I also want to visit some of the ancient mystical sites this time too, if my schedule allows! Organising so many clients from all different areas, arranging times that are convenient for everyone, and making and booking a travel plan is always a vast amount of work, but worth it for what is produced :) If you're a photographer/ artist/ designer/ hairdresser anywhere in Belfast/ Antrim or the Republic of Ireland, please do feel free to email me about a booking in July at contact@anitadebauch.com. I'm going to be everywhere :)

Other than that, the highlight of my week so far has been life modelling for art classes in London for the first time. I've never done it before as the rates of pay are so low that I sort of couldn't justify doing it. I concluded that life models do it for the feeling of having helped in creating artwork than for anything else, which I sure wish I had time to do for free or almost-free sometimes, but 99% of the time, I just don't. If I'm not shooting, I do need rest days so I don't totally burn out ;) But these ones were quite reasonably paid and I'm so glad I actually took the plunge and did them, it was such a fascinating experience! I really wish I could draw. It was very inspiring and made me want to do life modelling more regularly, if I can.

Another nude booking tomorrow, but with a camera, not a paintbrush, the way god intended ;)

nine inch nails at belsonic :D aka i wear my sunglasses at night

long blog alert!!!

I don't know what happened to the capitalisation in this post; i'm feeling really sleepy today and just letting the ipad put them in wherever it thinks :p

just got back from a mental 36 hours in Belfast with my boyfriend, our photographer flatmate dan and our lighting engineer friend john! We left home at like 5am so we could be in belfast early to check in at our party hostel and get the drinks in before seeing NINE INCH NAILS!!!

We went to a bar called voodoo for vodka and soda with lots of lime wedges for me and beer for the boys that was like a dark red cave inside with a voodoo shrine behind the bar :) it's fun to be the only girl sometimes :) then to the hostel for makeup and further vodka and then to custom house square for ****NIN!!****

People kept coming up to us on the way because john looks like kerry king :)

i wore the same outfit i wore in the jessie j video: black fishnet top over black bra with comfy canvas bondage trousers, but my old steel toe-capped dms instead of 5" heels because i knew we were in for a long night of running around being silly in belfast :D

red lipstick and my giant round sunglasses all night because i left my normal prescription glasses in london so needed my sunglasses to see!!! I looked like a right fake rockstar with sunglasses + bondage pants + battered red leather biker jacket, lolllllz. Too many people at the after party tried my sunglasses on.

Anyway the gig was AMAZING. LITERALLY THE BEST SHOW I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. SO VERY FUCKING HAPPY ABOUT THAT :D :D :D Sooo worth the flight!

The crowd was small and everyone was super friendly and the light show blew my mind. It was super trippy and perfectly expressed the music and the band were perfect as always! Trent is so hot these days too!! We just raved solidly for the whole set, which was good and long!!!

last song before the encore ('hurt')! we were actually way closer to the stage but this video is far enough back that you can see all the pretty liiiiiiights woooooooo!!!

After the gig some people were going to some club called limelight (NOT slimelight, haha!) but we veered off to this pub/ club doing an ebm after party called hudson's, which was definitely the right choice as it was awesome music and awesome people! apparently they were expecting about 80 people as it was midweek but hundreds turned up :p

Dan went to bed, liam and john roamed the pub together occasionally bumping into me but i was off on my own chatting to people for the most part about lots of random things, not that i can remember all of them, lol.

the dj (fritz) played revolting cocks for us at the end of the night, and actually mixed it in so the hardcore of ebm dancers didn't notice, lol. he then got into some weird long-winded discussion with me on the way out about blade runner, which was all very confusing and mysterious O.o

I do remember chattering away to this irish guy who looked like trent reznor/ flea from the chilli peppers about god knows what (i only remember the look of fear on his face) when john came bounding up with the crucial information that his mate knew somewhere nearby where you could see a family of wild seals. WILD SEALS!

English kerry king running towards us raving about local seals scared irish flea even more, he was well relieved when his mate came back from the bar, LOL. Amazingly they did invite us back to their hotel suite when hudson's shut at 2am but i had to say no as irish flea had to be up at 7am for work... Craziness!

photo from my shoot in brighton i had two days later inserted here to break up all the text :p new dress, new red-soled shoes!!

I asked the bar staff but apparently nowhere in belfast is open after 2am so we were like LUSH now where the fuck are we going to go?? Then john remembered that our hostel supposedly had an all-night common room/ bar so we headed back. Apparently everyone else staying at the hostel who wasn't ready to sleep had the same idea so we had our own little after after party. We don't need other people to have fun!!

I went to bed at like 5 so i could get a couple of hours' snooze before spending a horrible day lurking in the darkest, quietest pub in belfast until it was time to slope back to the airport with our sunglasses on and fly home.

Despite drinking GALLONS of water, i still wasn't really sober and got the right eye from airport security! We did look like a bunch of deep fried freaks: zombie crew in weird black clothes we'd slept in with crazy hair, and sunglasses indoors.

I got the full pat-down because of the 90 million buckles on my bondage trousers setting off the metal detectors and they went through my handbag with that drugs microphone sensor thing as well! No dice, suckers! I'd have to be a pretty dumb drug dealer to actually LOOK like a burnout when carrying drugs! If i was really going to be a drugs mule i'd dress like a fucking librarian!

Anyway, we got on the plane okay, fell asleep, got on the train from gatwick into london, slept on that, slept on the tube, got home, made kim snyder's detox tea, just about managed to drink it all before more beauty sleep for shoot in brighton the next day!!

All the water, sleep and detox tea paid off because i looked fine for a latex/ alt fashion shoot on location on brighton pier and in an old-fashioned sweet shop the next day :) the photos look really good, yay! here's an outtake from the sweetshop in lady lucie latex (apologies if you already saw it on facebook!):

i love my life!

The photographer, sean mccormack, was awesome, and we were even joined by one of his photographer friends part way though who was also super lovely. I also needed to repair my bank account a bit so the shoot was good timing ;)

on brighton pier in my new dress :D

On saturday i met up with the gorgeous roswell ivory for dim sum and flowering jasmine tea at ping pong soho (mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!) for her birthday and to celebrate her getting her steampunk novella published! Will be getting a signed copy of that when it's out, yep!

Ping pong gave us free champagne to celebrate with! :D

 celebrations with roswell

Then we did a bit of shopping in liberty/ selfridges/ h&m (where everything is 90s now, even the dj)/ primark. I bought two my little pony tops for some reason :p one is going to get customised and worn with bowler hat and leopard print leggings for my next clubbing outfit i think, hmmmmmMMMMMMmmmmm! i think my next clubby outing will probably be to see the bug in shoreditch!

love modelling, love fashion, love latex, love doing my own makeup, love nighttime adventures and music and running around on trains and planes in various states of intoxication for all the fun times :D

*MWAH!*

Industrial Nudes by G Haskew

I have something pretty unusual to share for this week's #NakedSundays! I recently shot with my friend G Haskew at this incredible empty industrial space. I sort of look like I've been Photoshopped into a Giger-esque computer-generated image, but no, I really am there!

Click the images to see larger versions ^

Nerdy fact: an episode of Red Dwarf was shot here, hence the biohazard sign on the top right! I watched it as soon as I got home because I may or may not have the box set

Notice the shadowy figures that have appeared on the right- must be ghosts ;)

I've been thinking about this summer's trip to Ireland today; think I might go in late June/ early July, when the weather's a little warmer. So if anyone in the UK would like to book me next month, I'll actually be here! You can email me or join me on Facebook.

I'll round off by sharing some Giger art work; seems appropriate :)

It would be so cool to do a full suspension bondage shoot along this theme, with silver dreads and full body makeup on a set with other models woven into tons of industrial tubes and wires and *faints*

Irish Nudes by Seamus Costelloe, Podge Kelly & Eamonn Farrell

Happy St Patrick's Day! I won't be sharing Irish coffees with my Irish boyfriend as I'm working tomorrow, and in another break with tradition, won't be posting any photos of myself in a neon green fancy dress bikini with matching plushy top hat. I know!

Instead I thought that as I've started a #NakedSundays hashtag on Twitter, and St Patrick's Day has fallen on a Sunday on this year, I'd post a selection of nudes shot in Ireland by some of Ireland's best art nude photographers in no particular order :)

All photos not otherwise credited are by the amazing Seamus Costelloe

 Photographer: Eamonn Farrell

These are all from when I had black hair! The last time I went to Ireland I suppose I must have only been shooting fashion! Hopefully I'll be back this summer... just need to figure out the best time to fit it in. I really love Ireland :)

In other news, I finished re-writes on The Ugly Girl's Guide to Becoming a Model today, my five-step guide to being a successful model without an agency, and sent copies to some model friends to see what they think.

The next part will be going through nearly seven years' worth of photos to figure out which would look best in the book! It will take a lot of experimentation and revisions but it's worth it to make sure it's perfect :) Then I can design the layout of the book, print a test copy, fix any last little imperfections and have it ready for general release by 31st October... that's the plan, anyway!!

Ectomorph Latex, Jane Doe Latex and Lady Lucie Latex, oh my!

This morning I got a call for a latex fashion shoot for one of the oldest and most prestigious labels in the country, Ectomorph, who first opened their doors in 1985- before I was even born! Considering how quickly designers come and go these days, it is a real honour and a privilege to shoot for such a trusted, well-established name in the world of latex couture! I last shot for their catalogue in May last year:

Photographer: Keital @ Fetish Eyes | Hair: Annabelle's Wigs | Makeup: me!

You can still actually see that very shot showcased on the Ectomorph homepage, alongside another of their models and one of my friends, cult movie scream queen Eileen Daly, of Razor Blade Smile fame! Funnily enough, she has also modelled for another of my latex clients, Peccatus Couture. It certainly is a small world!

The shoot tomorrow should really be something special- I've seen snapshots of the outfits, and the photographer is second to none, so I KNOW it will be good and that you'll like the pictures! I'll be blogging them here first, of course, so be and sure and subscribe NOW (top right corner of the screen) while you're thinking of it!

In the theme of latex fashion, I will decorate this blog with a photo from my recent Irish Tour, taken by one of Ireland's very top photographers and all-round gentleman, Seamus Costelloe.

Latex bra by Jane Doe | Latex braces by Lady Lucie | Styling: me

I like mixing latex with other fabrics, both in photos and real life. I know it is considered a bit of a "fetish no-no", but really, if you like latex, and you also like leather, vinyl, nylon, silk, satin or mesh, why wouldn't you mix them together? It's like wearing incredibly sexy, daring lingerie, and then putting a suit on over the top so that you can still swan to the shops or to the office or to meet your friends for coffee or cocktails, without having a line of guys following you around all over town! I think it's what they call having the best of both worlds!

If you like nylon stockings, or latex, as much as I do, then >click here< to browse my Shop, full of pieces I handpicked for you. I think you'll like them.

I have lots more to tell you but I don't want this blog to run on too long, and I have to pack for tomorrow, so bye for now!
