Pas De Bink

I have another beautiful location art nude photo to add to my Pas De Deux gallery featuring my friend and "colleague" Madame Bink :)

Photographer: Dan Hubbert

Dan also took some photos in infra-red, which produced some interesting effects: the ferns looked like they were covered in frost, Bink looked basically the same and I looked very odd- glowing white hair and almost lilac skin! :0

7.45 pm EDIT: I've just found out that Binky and I are available to shoot together at a fab London studio on Sunday 4th September from £75 ph, all-in! Please click here or email me at contact@anitadebauch.com for details. First come, first serve! ;)

She dreams in blue...

Feel free to skip the waffle and scroll straight down to the rest of the modelling photos ;)

It was Hannah Ashlea's and my first Notting Hill Carnival yesterday! We got well into the carnival spirit :) I liked the way it felt more like a festival than just a parade.

Hannah photographing the parade

There were no less than three dancing Elvises (sp?) on this stage, none of whom were a day under 70!

I also got spotted by Belgian Elle's 'Streetstyle' scout, which was funny and flattering. I'll post if the photo they took of me looking gormless and confused pops up anywhere.

After a very naughty lunch at McDonalds (!!!), we sloped off to the National Portrait Gallery for the second time this month, this time for a free screening of Gilda. WE LOVE RITA HAYWORTH! Her sparkling satin boudoir was just spectacular- I WANT it! Everything she wore in this film sparkled or was made from satin, dripping with timeless luxury symbols like diamonds and furs.

Then we went back to Hannah's for dinner with her boyfriend, Ras :) I love the luxury of having someone else cook! ;)

Anyway, in more professional news, I have more photos back from my shoot with Stefano Brunesci ;) You may have already spotted a preview on my Facebook fanpage. You can see the rest by signing up to Zivity.

I did all the makeup and styling :) Even more photos to follow soon! I have so many it just seemed ridiculous to post any more right now! I love the icy blue skin tones though :)

Stefano Brunesci's Peachy Whites (Zivity)

I recently shot with Stefano Brunesci in lovely Wiltshire to get some agency shots of my new hair. I think this is the least makeup I have ever worn for a shoot- just a little powder blush, eyebrow fill and Vaseline on my lips! I've been photographed nude more times than I can count, but I don't think I've ever been photographed this naked! As for my hair, I just slicked it back off my face with a little water and gel.

Not all of them were exactly suitable for commercial agency profiles, so we also submitted this and another photo set to Zivity. The rest of this set should appear in the Featured Photo Sets section sometime today, so I guess they liked it! If you're thinking of joining Zivity and would like a free 30 day trial membership, do let me know as they have kindly given me 30 to give away :)

To my own surprise, I didn't completely choke at my Kinley audition yesterday (although I have a feeling in my gut that I still didn't get the part...), which Spirit Model Management put me up for, so I've now officially joined their books, too :)

Today's location fashion shoot went really well so I feel like I've earned relaxing and watching new Who for the next hour. Kinda cool that it's on a WW2/ Nazi theme as I've recently got addicted to watching Nazis: A Warning from History- it's so fascinating to watch a documentary that concentrates purely on the psychosocial dynamics within a fascist dictatorship! Anyway, now it's Who time! *toddles off to open sherry and make a cheeseboard*

Tara

I shot with fellow model Tathiel, who I knew as Tara, in March 2009 at a Bristol studio. It was great to shoot with another model from Somerset and more than that, we got on like a house on fire! I had admired her distinctive cyber styling for a while, so was pleased that she was styling our shoot!

 Tara and me

Photographer: Andy Mills

We stayed in contact after the shoot and chatted about modelling, career stuff, anxiety and self-esteem stuff. Every time I read one of her blogs, posts or comments online- which was a lot, as we were of course on all the same networking sites, as well as Facebook- they were always so sweet, no matter how she was feeling inside. I work in a land that is very much concentrated on what's on the surface, and not digging too deeply below this surface is par for the course.

Last weekend, at the age of 23, Tara took her own life. She was beautiful on the inside as well as on the outside, but with more troubles than she could bear. I'm too shell-shocked to know what more to say. I'm so sorry Tara; you deserved a long, happy life with people who loved and appreciated you and I wish I had done more.

RIP Tara Farthing

Blast from the past!

I just received these photos from Sean O'Malley, who I shot with back in May when I had black hair... remember that??

I've been asked to attend a casting for a Coca-Cola TV commercial on Friday because they thought I still have black hair! Still, I'll have a go and head down there in my wig... the shoot would be in Tel Aviv, a city I've never been to and would love to visit!

"Ectomorph – Leaders in Latex Fashion" - Skin Two

I'm in a Skin Two feature on EctoMorph, a fantastic latex designer I recently modelled for on location in a beautiful 1930s London townhouse!

I've also just been told that I'm going to be on the cover of the Spring/ Summer 2012 issue of Alt Fashion magazine, which is very exciting! It's out sometime in April 2012. I'm just giving you plenty of warning so you can be sure of tracking down a copy ;)

Lady Lucie Latex @ Light Spot Studio

I have had such a busy couple of weeks, it's been insane! Shooting every day, taking bookings for my Asian Tour, going to photography exhibitions and keeping up with "model maintenance"- the exercise, dieting, primping and preening while making time to get your eight hours' sleep every night- is really quite tiring when you end up with no free time leftover what-so-ever :) Yesterday I even managed to do TWO funky street fashion shoots in one day, phew!

Today is my first day off in a while; I've already done some aerobics (including kickboxing! Pow! Pow!), washed two layers of yesterday's products out of my hair and done a deep conditioning treatment and answered all my emails; now to blog some new photos before shopping, housework, cleaning makeup brushes and playing with the kittens :) I've taught Dexter to play fetch with me in the living room, using an Alpen Light bar wrapper tied in a knot as a stick!

Anyway, here are some photos from a recent shoot with Neil Cordell at Light Spot Studio, featuring my high-waisted Lady Lucie Latex leggings. All styling by me :)

I just went through the contact sheets from my shoot with Stefano Brunesci; SO hard to narrow it down to even my favourite 15 photos, but I did it! Can't wait till they've been retouched so that I can blog them, although tbh, the only way you can tell that they haven't been airbrushed already is the odd midge bite on my ribcage making an appearance here and there, from the location shoot I did with Dan Hubbert and Madame Bink the day before! I guess that's what really good lighting can do!

The Blue Hour, feat. Naucler Design latex

The blue hour is my favourite time of day- admittedly I'm not usually awake for it anymore, but pretty much every day at university I'd still be awake to see it and feel in an oddly peaceful limbo for a little while. So, when Darren Birkin invited me to get up at 4.30 am for a fashion shoot at the Millennium Bridge on Saturday, how could I say no?

Many thanks to David for assisting!

Had a fantastic day shooting for my agency profiles and new Zivity account with Stefano Brunesci and Adam Robertson today! I'm really looking forward to seeing the photos- I think they'll be completely different from anything I've ever shot before, so please subscribe to my blog if you want to see them :D <3

London August Street Fashion

Phew, early start this morning for a fashion shoot on Millennium Bridge- 4.30 am! It was well worth it for the awesome light, though!

The streets of London have well and truly erupted since I started advertising my London August Street Fashion & Portraiture offer and I've been truly touched by the number of Londoners turning out in force to repair not only their communities, but travelling across London to help their fellows in other areas of London, too, with handouts, tools to repair homes and businesses, and lots and lots of brooms.

Clapham, London

It's not just London, either; this is happening across several English cities including Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester and Liverpool!

I was lucky enough to be booked for plenty of London Street Fashion & Portraiture before the riots broke out, and thought I'd post some photos from one of the shoots that I did with Derek Waldron in Camden, which is about 15 minutes away from me :) I like the way sunlight makes my hair look really fiery! All styling by myself :)

Experimenting with not wearing false eyelashes as the lighter hair colour seems to ask for lighter makeup application, sometimes. Undecided.

 New dress! :)

My Lady Lucie Latex dress and Kurt Geiger shoes :)

If you're shooting in London, you have to get a red bus in there somewhere!

Working with Derek was really nice. He's interesting to chat to and we had a yummy picnic by Camden Lock for lunch! We had enough time as he wisely booked two lots of 2 hours back-to-back. After our shoot, he posted:

"Had a wonderful 'location' shoot with Anita today, around the streets of Camden, taking advantage of one of her special offers for a street fashion shoot. Not knowing the area at all, I was reliant on Anita's knowledge to find suitable areas to shoot and she provided loads. As well as that, whilst walking around, if a spot caught my eye, she was more than happy to drop everything and try a few poses.

"A really pleasant few hours, some imaginative locations, some great poses, all made for a great shoot, which I would have no hesitation in repeating."

It's so nice when the weather's consistently good enough to be able to book outdoor shoots without worrying too much, although there is so much cover in central London that I guess even if it did start to rain, we'd still find somewhere relatively dry to shoot :)

Pas De Deux

I had a huge purge of my galleries on Sunday evening. It was such a heart-breaking experience to remove 90% of nearly five years of hard work, but I forced myself to be harsh and remove all the looks that either don't have me with red hair, or don't have me with black hair that I can replicate with wigs. New look, new era, new Anita! (And I still have all the old photos on my hard drive for memories of my time as a black-haired model... and in case I suddenly panic and want to re-upload them all again!)

However, clearing out all those old photos made room for a new gallery: Pas De Deux, a showcase of my work with my model friends! After some really wonderful experiences modelling with Madame Bink I've realised that shooting fashion and art nude with other models is something I really want to do more of so I've created a special gallery for it! There's also a picture of Ulorin Vex and me and Liam and me modelling together in there <3

Cliiiick the picture to see Pas De Deux!

Feelin' hot, hot, hot!

I found a great way to stay cool in this glorious summery weather at James Thorpe Photography Studio yesterday!

I may have said this already, but I'm loving how the fiery new hair colour stands out against dark backgrounds!
Hair and makeup: me, as almost-always! I'm glad I remembered to wear little twinkly stud earrings to sparkle along with the water :)

My back is still aching after I pulled it dragging a particularly heavy suitcase around the other day, even after some yoga this morning, which I hoped would help. If a long, hot soak in a scented bubble bath tonight doesn't cure it, then I think I'll use it as an excuse to get a full body massage as soon as I have time ;)

Today I will mostly be ironing and mending my wardrobe, ready for another busy week's shooting all over England, starting tomorrow! And maybe baking some of my "famous" sugar-free, dairy-free, simple carb-free raisin bran muffins and a new recipe that I want to try, date and cinnamon oat cookies :)

More ginger hair, and my second agency signing :D

I have some more photos from my shoot on 29th July, this time from Tarmoo's daughter, Kay :)

Thank you for lending me this dress, Hair by Gemini Rayne!

I received an email today saying that I've been accepted into another commercial model agency! I really couldn't believe it until I called them back and confirmed! It seems so strange that I had no luck at all with the mainstream agencies when I was 20, but five years later I have not one agency, but two! It'll be a little while before my profile appears on the sites as I need to get some nice commercial-natural-happy-smiley type photos with the new hair shot and processed to give to them. I'm also being contacted by some really top British and European fashion agency photographers to shoot completely different styles than the moody alternative/ latex type fashion that I usually shoot so much of.

I appreciate that this sudden interest from the grown-ups probably just means that my 'look' is flavour of the month at the moment, so I'm determined to enjoy every moment that I can!
