#NakedSundays with Perou

This is the second blood shot from my shoot with Perou ♥ Red and white is such a lush colour combination; bright, clinical and terrifying. I am the bloodstained ice queen.

Styling (except the blood!) by moi mwah mwah

So I'm back from my Lady Allura's Latex shoot in Ireland and just shot for Fabulously Fetish bespoke shoes in London; quite a bit of commercial rather than pure art-for-art's-sake work (like the pic above) atm (other things are top secret right now; will tell you here the second I can).

I like the challenge of commercial work, because it's good to mentally change gears to keep my brain running smoothly, but AFAS is the bestest.

This photo is my desktop wallpaper atm

Holly (Ivory Flame) was staying with me earlier this week while she's touring the southeast.

We had a coinciding day off in the V&A, where we went on a tour of the Tudors. Randomly, my favourite things were the beds. This was my favourite. I love 1930s Chinoiserie; the common Western perception at the time of China as this incredibly exotic, sensual, mysterious place makes for great decor and is kind of the way I'm going with my lounge. I'd never seen Tudor Chinoiserie before though!

After the museum, Holly and I went to Dirty Martini in Soho. I usually go there with Hannah Ashlea after shopping on Oxford Street; we love the decor and cheap cocktails. This time I had an actual dirty martini followed by a French martini (I forget what made it French). Holly had something with a chilli in it and we talked about just about everything going on in our worlds.

We're having a sleepover with Fredau tomorrow night, after watching a comedy panel TV show being recorded. I think I'm going to cook Kim Snyder's latest recipe for us and open a bottle of vintage bubbly. Phone photos of three drunk art nude models no doubt to follow.

Fuck your fake morals

I lol'd at the 50s movie censors scene in The Notorious Bettie Page, where Irvin Klaw is told he's not allowed to sell bondage movies, despite bondage scenes appearing in mainstream movies like King Kong.

I lol'd when I found out that my blog is banned in China. Ah, silly, backward old China. Lol lol.

I'm laughing on the other side of my bloody face now. Consenting adult actors portraying fantasy BDSM scenes for other consenting adults CAUSES RAPE? There is NO HARD EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THIS CLAIM- quite the opposite, in fact. How come the countries with the most relaxed porn laws have the lowest incidence of rape (i.e. the Netherlands and Japan), hmmmmm?

Moral posturing to gain political points is one thing but criminalising a minority group based on their sexuality to gain political points is quite another. OBVIOUSLY, I'm in favour of the bit about targeting people who try to access child porn. But lumping paedos and kinksters into the same group is dangerous. Is there any precedent for a legal act (in this case, consenting adults having sex with each other) being illegal to have recordings of? It's okay to do it, but not to record it?

Is anyone going to change the law to improve the way we deal with ACTUAL rape? There is currently no minimum jail term for rape under English law, for a start. THAT'S horrific. THAT'S immoral. But it seems that Cameron doesn't consider it a priority when there are consenting fetishists to be victimised.

Alexander McQueen and Fabulously Fetish #WardrobeWednesday

Hello from Dublin!

I had a great art nude shoot today with one of my regular clients here in Ireland. There is something so peaceful about being nude in beautiful outdoor spaces and feeling the grass between your toes and the breeze on your skin :) Then tomorrow it's on to Kilkenny for a two-day shoot for Lady Allura's Latex's new collection, with another of my very favourite photographers in the world, not just Ireland. It's so important to work with people who really love and care about the images they take.

Another photographer like this is my friend Phine Ka. Here are some new old photos we shot a while ago- shoes by Fabulously Fetish, necklace by Alexander McQueen, wig courtesy of Faye Yerbury!

Phine Ka and I are shooting the new Fabulously Fetish collection this month- really looking forward to it :) No girl would say no to prancing around in lots of beautiful examples of couture high heels in a studio all day, am I right?? I wouldn't, anyway :) I love how much intensive attention to detail Fabulously Fetish put into their shoes, both in terms of look and wearability. I pay obsessive attention to detail myself, I think it's a crucial part of art and style, so it's something I really appreciate in them and feel kinship with them over. They are the perfect footwear sponsor for me :)

Fuck Art

You can express yourself musically by banging a guitar against a rock if you prefer, if that’s the best way to use it to express yourself. It’s so narrow to talk about creatively expressing yourself “musically” or through “dance” or “art” or “poetry” or whatever. As soon as you do that, you start to judge the end product according to how good an example it is of “a song”, “a painting”, “a poem” or whatever instead of how good it is at creatively expressing the artist.

If you want to express yourself photographically, you can take a selfie on your phone, print it at Boots and edit it with Magic Markers if the end result expresses how you feel. Someone else might see it and get it because they feel the same way. Or maybe they won’t. It doesn't really matter. Whether or not it’s Art is debatable but it’s undeniably creative self-expression. Banging a guitar against rock or taking selfies on a phone is creativity happening and anyone can do it. Pushing “Art” out of the equation and just expressing yourself however you feel like doing it democratises creativity. It’s not restricted to an elite group of people called Artists. Anyone can do it.

Anita De Bauch caught red-handed with Perou

It's been nearly a week since I blogged! If you haven't been tracking my movements on Facebook/ Twitter/ Tumblr...

The highlight of my week was definitely shooting with world-famous fashion photographer Perou, one of my favourite and most inspirational photographers of all time! It's been a dream of mine to work with him for years. Perou shoots hundreds of celebrities, supermodels, actors, and rockstars, and this week he shot me at his studio in London :)

You can read Perou's thoughts about our shoot in his blog :) Here's a teaser; more to follow!

Mmmmmmmm, blooooooooooooooood! :p

Got a good party weekend lined up- after my shoot tomorrow, I'm seeing The Bug at Koko in London, and have been invited to Perou's Clownface party in Mayfair to start Men's Fashion Week on Sunday. I think it's going to be a good weekend of music, cocktails and cute boy-spotting ;)

I have something for you, too- I'm giving away a lovely black and white canvas I found in my bedroom to one lucky member of the Anita De Bauch Facebook page. It's a share to win thing, but you have to be a member of our little page to enter, so the odds are pretty high of winning :) Good luck!

Lots of love,

Anita xxxx

Black #StockingSaturday by Phine Ka

Thought I'd post this little blog between shooting stills in the woods and cinemagraphs at home all day with my new-ish flatmate, Dan Hubbert. Fun fun :) Jeans, jacket and TRAINERS, definitely a new look for me!! (Admittedly my trainers have cute little wedge heels.)

So today's look is quite a contrast to these photos taken in my hotel room by another friend, Phine Ka, in January. I oddly feel more comfortable wearing bits of fringing and 6" heels than "casuals". Go figure.

As well as shooting outside, I've also been walking Dexter in all this good weather we've finally been having (apologies if you already saw these on my Facebook).

Also, I had lunch in Camden with Hannah Ashlea yesterday and we talked about boobs solidly for 3.5 hours.

Well done us!

Lady Allura by G Haskew, steampunk/ industrial style

I have some steampunk-esque fashion shots to share from an amazing location shoot I did for Lady Allura with Magpie Tommy. Lady Allura mostly does latex but this beautiful harness set that she kindly gifted to me is made of faux leather (I also shot it with Amy Colwell). It feels nice and tough to wear :)

Click the pics for larger versions- it's worth it for the detail in these shots :)

Melodramatic "ooh I'm lost and have a bit of a headache" model pose #759375

This weirdly looks like I've been dropped into the shot on the computer but I was really there, promise :p There was a lot of daylight hitting me from each side. You've probably seen the nudes I did here; I was further back in the tunnel for them, so my figure looks darker.

Super awesome news: I met with Perou again yesterday and we have booked our first shoot for next week, possibly/ probably with more to follow for an ongoing location project :D I won't say exactly what it is of course but just that it's EXACTLY the kind of thing I've been really wanting to do :D :D :D

Also, the special edition hardback copy of my book, The Ugly Girl's Guide to Becoming a Model, looks like it might be out earlier than predicted! :D I may technically be a writer soon, but words can't describe my happiness today.

Oh, and the sun is shining :)

'Vintage Voyeur': striptease video for #StockingSaturday! & a vintage 1940s lingerie ad

I already posted this video on Twitter yesterday as part of #FetishFriday but I'll blog it today for #StockingSaturday, 'cos it's too good to only watch once ;) It's a preview of a leg/ foot/ stocking fetish film called Vintage Voyeur that I shot with Silk Soles, which is from the same producers as Restrained Elegance. You have to pay to join the site and watch the full film of course, but you can watch the trailer for free :D

I love doing this kind of elegant, sensual fetish work :)

Having a heroically lazy day today: woke up at lunchtime, retrieved soy chai latte and a tiffin from Costa in my peach satin cami-knickers (admittedly with a coat on over the top, but it still felt weird) and did a little 20 minute workout.

Vintage peach satin cami-knickers advert in my 1940s Look book

If I'm not sleeping nude, I'm usually sleeping in these. Mine are 1940s reproductions, kindly gifted to me by my friends at Playful Promises. They offered me money to shoot for them, but I said I'd rather have some of their beautiful lingerie, and this was one of my choices! I'm a genuine vintage lingerie fetishist and so owning the items is more exciting than money to me! I don't think Playful Promises make these anymore, which is a shame as they are so comfortable to sleep in, and my boyfriend loves them, too.

Anyway, sweet dreams...

Luci Alice, Anatomic Bomb, Fabulously Fetish & What Katie Did in 'Riot Vixen' magazine!

I'm on the back cover of the latest issue of the USA's Riot Vixen magazine, and also featured in an interview with British photographer Luci Alice :)

Left: Anatomic Bomb latex and Fabulously Fetish shoes. Right: What Katie Did bullet bra, Fabulously Fetish shoes. All styling by yours truly :)

You might remember seeing a couple of other photos from this set in my blog and also this silly little BTS video that I made :p

The Facebook fan page address is now just facebook.com/AnitaDeBauch, so much easier to remember!

I've ordered a copy of the magazine for my memories box :) You can order one here if you like! You get a digital version free when you order a hard copy :)

Today was the first sunny day in London this year (that I've been here to enjoy) so Liam, Dan and I walked to Alexandra Palace for a homemade vegan picnic (after Pilates and a green smoothie, how virtuous am I).

So that's my homemade coriander & lime quinoa, green salad with radishes, purple coleslaw, avo, giant cucumber sticks and totally not homemade Tesco houmous :p You can't tell in this photo but we have a Doctor Who picnic blanket *nods*

Cats have a new toy- a kind of crackly double tunnel in the shape of clown trousers and laced with catnip, so they're high as kites and even more playful/ mental than usual. Cue them shredding the packaging from my new handbag and running up and down the chimney like a couple of loons while we were out.

So I think I need to see the new Star Trek film in 3D, yep.

Bye!

Futura

I have some new photos from an old shoot with Shawn Bishop at Scarlet Door Studio :) They are a bit different from my "usual" retro look, but I really like them and would like to do more photos like this, with what I always think of as a Mechanical Animals kind of a look. They actually played the album in the studio while we were shooting to help me get in character!

Hair and makeup: meee

I adore the art work from the various eras of Manson. He is still one of my favourite models- always able to perfectly project character and scenario through pose, self-styling and expression, always a strong presence on camera, always demanding a connection and response from the viewer. Many of his photos from the 90s and Noughties are what inspired to me to want to model in the first place, for example:

Photographer: Perou

I remember posting that last photo on MySpace, which just shows how long ago it was, along with a blurb about having just found this photographer, Perou, and my somewhat fantastical dreams of working with him one day. In my defence, I may have only been modelling for less than a year at the time, but even then I knew it was fantastical. Perou also took some of my favourite photos of Dita, whose book I was probably dissecting with absolute ardour at the time (I still like it now).

I think maybe a couple of people reading this did actually read my old MySpace blog too back in the day and so might appreciate this.

PEROU MESSAGED ME ON FACEBOOK TO ASK ME TO HIS PARTY LAST FRIDAY AND I WENT AND WE HUNG OUT AND HE SAID HE LOVES MY LOOK AND WANTS TO WORK WITH ME AND I DIDN'T FAINT OR THROW UP OR NOTHIN'.

In fact I took his card and called him today and am meeting him at the Bunker on Friday to talk it over. *insert head-exploding emoticon here* And I was actually able to carry out a reasonably sensible conversation while dressed like this:

Me & Dan Hubbert on our way to the party

It's no exaggeration to say that I think Perou is one of the best, if not the best people photographer alive today, and yeah, it's almost pathetic how many times I've named him in interviews when the magazine person inevitably asks what my dream shoot/ project would be.

I'm like

right now :o
 *faints*

It goes to show that you might as well be optimistic because you never know what's waiting for you in the Futura.

Don Cristobal

I thought I would share a couple of pictures from a shoot I did in Singapore last month for Filipino couturier Don Cristobal, who's making a big name for himself in SE Asia at the moment. We shot several looks with SoloStep Studio; these are the two I've spotted so far :)

Each dress was full of drama and made me feel like a certain character. This one is very 70s and boho, especially with Elena's styling.

The next was my personal favourite, I think; I was reading Lola Montez: Her life and conquests while travelling around Asia, and really felt her in this Spanish-influenced dress with its sexy mesh panels and layers and layers of underskirts!

Hair and makep: Rezani Ramli

It sounds so cheesy because all models say it, but one of my favourite things about my job is shoots like this where I basically get paid to play dress-up like I was a little kid and play with all these different characters, which are really just aspects of my own psyche that normally wouldn't get airtime.

Just finished my Introduction to International Criminal Law online course today! A meaningless 'Statement of Accomplishment with Distinction' certificate will soon be mine. Booyah.

In more annoying news, Facebook have banned me from advertising my page on their site because they consider it to be "advertising adult products or services, including toys, videos, or sexual enhancement products." Well, what if it were? The page is set to 18+ anyway! Infuriating. So please, if you haven't already, come and join me on my Facebook porno page and become instantly sexually enhanced. That's a guarantee.
