Days 1 & 2 of the Irish Tour feat. Mary McGuinness and Naucler Design

Wow, it's been over a week since I posted a blog. That must be a record for me! I've been so snowed under with shooting and the arrangements that go with it that I haven't had time to have a decent sit-down and waffle on in my usual way :p

On the plus side, all this shooting has resulted in my inbox positively bursting with shiny new photos that I'm going to share bit by bit :D Today: the results of my first two days' shooting in Ireland with Seamus Costelloe and his team.

Day 1

After getting up at 2 am and catching three different buses to get to Stansted, I flew to Dublin to meet Seamus, then we went back to his for coffee and for me to show him what I'd brought for our first day's shooting.

Lingerie dept. overseen by Mr Snuggles

Then we were off to a fantastic location in Kilkenny called Left Bank, a huge bar/ club that used to be, you guessed it, a big old bank.

Hair and makeup by yours truly

My favourite latex outfit right now, by Naucler Design!

Day 2

The next day saw us back at Left Bank to shoot for Mary McGuinness Couture, who had custom made some fantastic outfits for the project!

First up, some avant-garde wedding dresses. If I were going to get married I'd much rather wear something like this than the traditional meringue (if I had several thousand to spend, lol)!

The second half of the day was spent on some REALLY cool outfits for Mary's new fetish fashion range. The yellow one was made from a kind of soft canvasy fabric and would be a great alternative to latex for fetish clubs for people who don't like the sweat-factor of latex!

I just love how strange/ androgynous/ alien I look in the last one. I'm guessing it won't be to everyone's tastes as it isn't too "pwetty" but I'm mostly more interested in striking photos than ones that are just "nice" ;) All the hair and makeup was by Victoria Mureuva, who had also flown in from London for the shoot!

EDIT 24.06.10: Just got another photo through of the asymmetric body Zynthia. Yay-ness!

Holy hell, my thighs were toned last month OO I need to get my sagging ass back in training, starting today!!

Gluttony

I haven't been to Festival of Sins for too long despite it being so local to me (Camden)! Saturday night was so much fun with so many friends under the same roof for once :) The theme for the night was "gluttony" so the club was awash with muffins and sweets, but somehow I managed to resist ;)

I had my hair in a Mohawk for a recent shoot for Drac-in-a-Box so decided to do it like this again on Saturday:

Photographer: Gregory Brown. Retoucher: Technical Boy. Hair and makeup: me

It's just a preview- more to follow from this shoot soon!

Anyway, Liam and I arrived at FoS "fashionably late" (nearly midnight, oops) to be greeted by Team Binkertson and Khandie Khisses before heading in. I like KK for all sorts of reasons, not least because she says "fanny" a lot (hardly anyone says "fanny" anymore, have you noticed?).

I brought my camera with me so that Liam could film my show but totally forgot to take any photos in all the madness, so will now proceed to steal other people's from Facebook ^^

Liam and me outside the club. Me: The power of Elnette compels you!

L-R: James Thorpe, Khandie, Adam Robertson, me, Liam (Binky was taking the picture!)

An hour later it was time to get on stage for Nikita Sablier's fashion show, for which I wore a cute Bettie Page dress with a lipstick red bullet bra and a Freyagushi medical mask ^^

Warning: this is not your typical runway show :p

Me force-feeding Graeme a donut :p

The extremely messy finale! :D Stage photos courtesy of Dafydd Owen

After coming off stage and de-caking I got to get drunk and have a laugh with too many people to name them all here, but it was great to see them all :) I have a feeling I got photographed rather a lot pulling silly faces with Liam, but can't remember by who, so it will be interesting to see if any of those photos pop up anywhere!

L-R: me, Lex E Leven and Ivory Flame. My dress is from Drac-in-a-Box!

Around 3 am after we'd watched some bearlesque and other funny stuff Liam and I headed home with Roswell Ivory and Ivory Flame to eat pizza and listen to music before hitting the hay :) I was quite impressed with how my hair held up, I've been giving myself Mohawks for shoots since I was 19 but was never quite brave enough to wear it on a full night out in case it completely lost its erection, but it held its own!

Festival of Sins

I'm modelling at Festival of Sins at The Purple Turtle in Camden (opposite Mornington Crescent tube station) on Saturday 12th June!

I'm doing a show for Nikita Sablier, which will include wearing a Freyagushi medical mask ^^ and possibly clothing by Angelic Weapons, Bettie Page and Nyuszi :) Here's a photo from a shoot I did for Nikita Sablier with Graeme Geetee- the outfit is by Angelic Weapons (sooo want one of these corsets, it was off the peg but still such a flattering shape!):

Had a lovely time as usual modelling for the Yerburys' Boudoir Academy at Maunsel House on Tuesday. Working with the Yerburys is always a pleasure and it was also great to finally meet Ivory Flame, whose work I've been admiring online for years but have never actually met! She's just as sweet and pretty in real life as you'd expect from her beautiful photos :)

I'll be posting photos from the Academy when I have them :)

Let there be light

I have the first photo back from Damian McGillicuddy's 'Let there be light' seminars at the Hilton Malta in January. Hair and makeup by moi :)

I also shot the cover of Malta's Click magazine with the MPS, with more photos on a couple of pages inside covering the event.

Hair and makeup by me again, and I still have the top if anyone else wants to shoot it :)

Make Do & Mend

I am proud to announce that I will be walking for Leafric Designs at Tommy Lloyd Baker's Make Do & Mend fashion show at T47 London Bridge on Thursday- I was in Bristol rehearsing today :)

There will be eight top designers showing and great press coverage from a variety of high-profile publications including Vogue, all to support a great cause- so please do buy a ticket and I'll see you at the champagne reception ;)

The show has now been postponed, hopefully I'll be available on whatever the new date is! I'll update here when I know.

Day 6 of the Irish Tour feat. Naucler Design and Anatomic Bomb!

Due to weather woes photographer Sean McCormack and I stayed in his home studio to shoot on 21st May, but I'm really happy with the shiny results ^^

Latex by Naucler Design. Apparently this photo just won Sean an award in the SWPP Monthly Competition :)

My hair was still waved from the day before so I just backcombed it to give it some volume and wildness :D I did all the makeup, too. Damn, I'm value for money ;p

Day 5 of the Irish Tour (location nudes)

Picking up from where I left off...

I arrived in Dublin bright and early on day 5 of the tour (20th May) and met up with photographer Eamonn Farrell and MUA Conni Kavanagh for a location shoot in beautiful Wicklow, which I have probably already said about 90 times is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been <3

It was  a gloriously sunny day that made me feel a lot more comfortable nude than wearing Eamonn's hunting coat between shots! It really is a lovely feeling to be naked and barefoot by the side of a beautiful lake with the sun and the softest of warm breezes on your skin :) I mostly spent the day reflecting on just how much I love my job (sorry if that sounds unbearably smug!).

Just to make the idyllic loveliness of the lake complete, two cute fluffy donkeys appeared out of nowhere and came up for nose-rubs <3

This is me looking oddly short due to the fact that I was leaning forward from the waist while wearing Eamonn's long coat- I love donkeys but am aware that they can be quite grumpy/ bitey at times so I was trying to stroke his nose while simultaneously maintaining my distance!:

I was also plannning on making a dash into the lake if either of them went for me. I figured that might confuse them. Kind of sad that I had to actually plan how to outwit a donkey

We also shot in a derelict little house with no roof and by an area of forest that had been cut down.

After the shoot we had a late lunch in The Hollywood Inn, Hollywood, Ireland!

I had my first ever Irish coffee actually drunk in Ireland :)

(That's Eamonn in the background!)

Then Conni and I just had to stop the car and photograph this petrol station. I don't think Eamonn knew what we were on about but it amused me!

Then it was on the train back to Dublin so I could get a bus from there to Galway for my next day's shoot: latex...

... coming soon ;)

A day in the life. With nudes

I have a few unanswered questions in my Formspring account along the lines of "what do you do on a typical day?". I never really know what to say because my job is so varied that I don't really have "a typical day" so I'm just going to write about today in mind-numbing detail as an example!

I got up early-ish to do my exercises then washed my makeup brushes, took a shower, washed my hair, shaved my legs and pits, checked my emails while eating tea and toast then went for my manicure at 10.45 am, remembering to pick out a pearly pink shade suitable for the Yerburys' Bridal Boudoir Academy next week!

Okay, so this isn't really a picture of me in the shower, it's a photo from last summer by Gregory Brown that I don't think I've posted before and thought I'd sneak in :p

Theeeen I came home with skimmed milk so I could make a big mug of DIY skinny latte, renewed my library books online and packed for today's shoot, which was at the Hilton Paddington.

After a five hour shoot I took my makeup off on the tube on the way home and gave my bottle of water to a crackhead. I had an apple on me as well but he refused with thanks because his teeth were so badly rotted he wouldn't have been able to eat it :(

Came home to find the house full of people drinking beer and will shortly be joining them after I've finished eating my chip shop dinner :p I really must go on a diet at some point...

And here's another random nude from a shoot I did with Adam Robertson in February :) I've been obsessed with turning myself partially upside-down at nude shoots for a while now!

Tomorrow's plan: visit the British Museum with a hangover and look at the mummies, probably. Or something equally random!

Latest Drac-in-a-Box shoot...

I'm always tired when I get home from shooting, but I think it's a sign of a good shoot when I feel tired-yet-energised, rather than tired-and-drained. I think it means I've genuinely been expressing myself creatively :)

I had that tired-yet-energised feeling yesterday when I got home and flopped onto my bed after my shoot for Drac-in-a-Box, still in full makeup with a messy backcombed "fauxhawk" (as I always call this style)!

Drac-in-a-Box shoots are so much more fun than "regular" catalogue shoots! In the morning we were at the derelict Layston Church in Hertfordshire, the perfect setting for an alt/ goth wedding dress shoot!

Snaps:

GOTH!!!

Then in the afternoon it was back to the studio in London to shoot some more brightly coloured stuff (with the Mohawk!). I'm not going to give away any more than that until the photos are ready to be published! :p

New Doctor Who in 1 1/2 hours and counting! Duvet + sofa + Skinny Cow hot chocolate, here I come! :)

EDIT 6.40 pm: RIP Dennis Hopper :(

Fetish Fashion

It's 8.40 pm and I'm still in my dressing gown, hmmmmm. At least I got a ton of admin done today! I also have a couple of random new photos to share :)

This one from a recent shoot in London with a photographer over from Canada

You can't tell from the photo, but the heel on one of my ballet boots actually snapped when I was on location in Spain, so I can't stand up in them anymore, just do lying/ sitting/ crawling type poses. I've ordered these new ones that are more like shoes than boots- it's nice to have a little change :)

I also have a couple of new photos from Emma Delves-Broughton. We're planning on shooting again sometime this year, although we're not sure what yet. I'd really like to do some latex as that's what she's mostly famous for!

A new one from my shoot with Emma last year

And a better version of my favourite photo of me in Emma's new Kinky Nature book :)

I also have a couple of really cool photos back from another of the photographers I shot with in Ireland but I'm going to wait until I've got the full set till I post them, I'm a bit OCD like that ;) Plus one of them has to have the waist retouched because I'm so fecking toned from working out every single morning for the last four months that when I struck a hip-out pose loads of random muscles popped out all over my waist, creating huge dents, including that outer-sides-of-lower-belly muscle that male bodybuilders get. Gah! So now I should deliberately stop working out and let some of the muscle turn back into fat??

Anyone else sometimes get the feeling that it doesn't matter how fat, thin, toned or flabby you get, you will *never* actually be 100% happy with the way your body looks? >.<

/whinging. I might go and eat some cheese and watch QI now :)

EDIT 10 pm: turns out that if you drink strawberry tea while eating Danish blue cheese it makes your mouth taste exactly like vomit.

Day 4 of the Irish Tour

'Cos blogging in chronological order's for losers ;p

Jeez, I can't believe how hot it is right now. I had to put on sunblock just to go to the bank and PO today! Liam bought ice-cream and those triangular strawberry ice lollies you freeze at home though, yay ^^

Anyway.

Last Wednesday I was shooting a fashion project in the misty mountains of Waterford, Ireland with Presence Photography and his team. The day started well as there was a rabbit nibbling the grass outside my window while I was inside eating toast ^^

The theme for the day was vaguely "alien that fell to post-apocalyptic earth"  and the hair and makeup artist Virginia Anne Giani made a particularly photogenic headpiece! :D

We also did some shots on top of this Bronze Age burial mound <3 It was about 6 or 7 feet tall.

Aaaand the inevitable "behind the scenes" shot!

L-R: assistant Brenda, MUA Ginny and model me! Kind of weird how it looks like I've got my hand on Ginny's bum oO

After the shoot, the photographer took me on a little tour of Dungarven, which was really nice as a lot of the time when I'm working abroad I don't actually get to see all that much of the local area.

Boats in the harbour

Heron!

Strange old church with a derelict room full of graves attached to the back of the steeple...

... see!

Then early the next morning I was driven to Dublin for the next leg of the "tour" and was amused to see cows crossing the bridge over the motorway. Silly things like this make me happy for some reason!

Will post about my other days in Ireland when I have some more photos back! Oh, and Spain too!
