Dancing in the Moonlight

ANITA DE BAUCH CORSET LINGERIE MODEL REDHEAD ORCHID GLAMOUR VINTAGE RETRO

More photos from the Orchid Corsetry AW15 campaign, shot by Salleh Sparrow. I love the colours and feel of of this line so much :) I imagine the silver ensemble would be absolutely scintillating by moonlight...

Organic natural skincare for the shoot was provided by Bareskin Beauty, and the makeup cosmetics by Mya Minerals.

ANITA DE BAUCH CORSET LINGERIE MODEL REDHEAD ORCHID GLAMOUR VINTAGE RETRO

Celebrations of finally having somewhere permanent to live in a couple of months continues. I visited my nan for a huge homemade vegan feast, and boyfy and I went to a local firework display with friends.

I also have glamorous couture Christmas cards for sale, for anyone wanting to add a little Anita-sparkle to their winter season! The original photo was shot in the snow in London for Vivienne Westwood's corsetiere, and they're only £1 each with envelopes :) They're selling fast, so don't forget to order now xo

Good things come to those who...

I forgot to say before, but we ended up backing out of that C18th home we wanted to buy when the surveyor told us it was a total disaster zone. It was disappointing at the time, but I'm happy to report that we've now had our offer accepted on a much bigger, brighter and better value castle in the sky  :D

It's a Georgian townhouse with guest bedrooms for putting my model friends up in when they visit, space downstairs for a modest photo studio with French doors leading onto the patio, a library, meditation room and a rooftop garden with lovely views of the Somerset countryside. We can't wait to move in and I can't wait to shoot in it!

These photos are from Orchid Corsetry's AW15 campaign, which was launched on Saturday 31 October, shot by Salleh Sparrow in a huge abandoned house. (My skincare was provided by Bareskin Beauty and I did my own hair and makeup.) I love how she's picked up the luxurious texture of the fabric on this corset.

I think ^this^ one might be my personal favourite. It was tough not being allowed to share these images with you until after Halloween! Good things come to those who...

Orchid Corsetry AW15: Seductress in Red

Happy Day of the Dead! Although this set seems more appropriate for Devil's Night...

It also seems to be becoming a bit of a tradition for me to do a fancy lingerie campaign launching on Halloween, which is fine by me! :D

Yesterday, Orchid Corsetry released their Autumn/ Winter 2015 collection, which exclusively features me modelling a beautiful range of the finest English corsets and lingerie handmade from the most sumptuous materials, photographed by Salleh Sparrow, who I've been wanting to shoot with for a while now. I was the only model used this year, and was allowed to do my own hair and makeup as usual, so I felt really comfortable :) I used my favourite Bareskin Beauty skincare, of course. My earrings are vintage 1940s costume jewellery that clip on rather than use piercings :)

Hope you like these pictures as much as I do and feel inspired to treat yourself to something really opulent to wear to parties this season, and/ or to give more shape to your winter clothes.

I will post more photos from Orchid Corsetry's latest campaign over the next week. Feel free to subscribe for free near the top right-hand corner of this page to have them e-mailed to you directly as and when I post them. NB: The mailing list is so private that even I'm not allowed to see the list of addresses, just so you know!!

STOLEN LATEX! Please like and share.

Following on from yesterday's blog, that hundreds of people have liked, shared and messaged me about, here is a list of photographs of the stolen latex couture.

My car was broken into sometime during the afternoon of Tuesday 4 August in the SiP car park on Richard III Road in Leicester, along with several other cars, the police now tell me. I was on my way homewards after two weeks of touring, so I had almost everything I own in the car, and almost everything I own was stolen, including all my latex. They smashed their way in through the driver's window, I'm guessing to steal the satnav, and ended up stealing everything from the boot as well. They've pretty much taken everything I have, including everything I need to earn a living.

Losing latex really stings, not only because it's expensive, but because each piece is handmade to fit. Hours and hours of time, expertise and creativity go into each one. Each unique piece has its own story and becomes more and more a part of you the longer you own it.

To make it far worse, four of the outfits weren't even mine- I was borrowing them from Pandora Deluxe to shoot them for her while I was on tour. They were worth £800 all together and I'm so sorry they never made it home :'(

If you see any of this stuff anywhere, e.g. for sale on eBay or in Facebook groups, please call Leicestershire police on 101, citing crime reference # 15000073696, and email me on contact@anitadebauch.com.

STOLEN:

  • FOUR unique Pandora Deluxe latex outfits: a black and white checker-board appliqué lingerie and stockings set, a dusky pink skater dress, a light blue and navy blue 60s-style bikini, and a red mini dress with leopard print trim on the cups
  • Black Murray & Vern latex catsuit
  • Black gloss PVC underbust tightlacing corset by Heavenly Corsets
  • Union Jack latex overbust corset by Cathouse Clothing
  • White and black latex two-piece by Shh! Couture
  • Black latex two-piece with metallic purple frilly trim

  1. PANDORA DELUXE black and white checker-board appliqué lingerie and footless stockings set. It is labelled Pandora Deluxe inside. There is only one of these sets in the world, so if you see it- it's the stolen one!

  2. PANDORA DELUXE dusky pink skater dress. It has adjustable black straps, a zip up the back, and is labelled Pandora Deluxe inside.

  3. PANDORA DELUXE light blue and navy blue 60s-style bikini (big pants!) with small gold buckles, labelled Pandora Deluxe inside.

  4. PANDORA DELUXE red mini dress with leopard print trim on the cups. It has fancy straps over the chest, a zip up the back, and is labelled Pandora Deluxe inside.

  5. MURRAY & VERN full-length black latex catsuit, size small. It is labelled Murray & Vern on the inside back of the collar. It has a single zip.

  6. HEAVENLY CORSETS black gloss PVC underbust tightlacing corset- i.e. with very high quality steel boning. It has a steel busk front and black lacing on the back, and a hot pink Heavenly Corsets label inside. As far as I know, there is only one of these in existence as I had it custom made, so if you see it, it's almost certainly the one that got stolen. I think it closes at 20".

  7. SHHH! COUTURE "white" (cream) latex Stormtrooper-inspired two-piece with black geometric pattern. The top has a black zip up the back. This was custom made for me when I won a competition.

  8. CATHOUSE CLOTHING Union Jack latex overbust corset. It has a steel busk at the front and white laces and a modesty panel at the back. I think there is a Cathouse Clothing label inside, but I can't really remember :(

  9. "White" (cream) fully fashioned seamed latex stockings. They are imperfects (an experiment on behalf of the designer). Size small.

  10. Black latex two piece with metallic purple trim. This was a gift and I don't actually know who the designer was. It's quite thick, tough, good quality latex, and quite big in the chest for me.

What can you do to help

I don't want or expect handouts, but some mutually beneficial options for helping out are:

  • Please like and share this blog on Facebook and Twitter and +1 it on Google (there are little buttons to easily do this at the bottom of this blog entry) and if you are subscribed to my blog, please forward this email onto your contacts in case any of them spots anything online! Pandora Deluxe has successfully caught thieves and got stolen items back in the past using this method, so fingers crossed it will work this time and we'll get at least something back.
  • If you are looking for beautiful quality, comfortable latex couture, now is the time to order from Pandora- please bear in mind that Pandora Deluxe is available to take your order 24/7 here.
  • If you are interested in either becoming a latex model or improving your current modelling career without an agency, now would be a great time to order a copy of The "Ugly" Girl's Guide to Modelling. I'd be happy to sign it if we ever meet!

Thank you so much again to everyone who has helped and been in touch. I honestly can't thank you enough. I hate feeling dependent and can't wait to be back on my feet and self-sufficient again, working my butt off like I usually do!

Lots of love to you all,

Anita x

Cover of Sinical Magazine!!! :D

I'm on the cover of the latest issue of Sinical!

I'm particularly thrilled about this cover as having been commissioned to shoot it by Sinical, I was then allowed to choose the photographer (Luci Alice!), designers (mostly Playful Promises, although the corset I'm wearing on the cover was made for me by Heavenly Corsets and the bullet bra is from What Katie Did. The shoes were made specially for my feet by Fabulously Fetish), location, hair, makeup, skincare (Bareskin Beauty), everything myself! I put so much of myself into this image and the pictorial inside and I'm proud of how it's turned out.

Apologies if you already saw these on my Press page!

I've just had my first full day of shooting on this month's tour, which I've rather ambitiously made the whole of Britain. I'm starting in Wales for a few days, then doing a big clockwise lap of Scotland, before making my way back home through England. Hopefully I will get to visit some of my girlfriends at the same time :) Feel free to follow me on Instagram to see my behind-the-scenes tour snaps and videos; new followers always noticed and appreciated :)

I just bought myself a Thermos flask for transporting organic coconut milk cappuccino (new addiction)... tomorrow I have a 2 hour drive to an 8 hour outdoor location nude shoot that finishes at 8pm, then I'm going to zoom to my B&B and basically go straight to bed so that I can get up at ***3.30am*** the following day for another 8 hour outdoor nude shoot starting at dawn, followed by an 8 hour drive to Madame Bink's new house in the Lake District :p So having the ability to transport coffee to remote locations should be a major benefit, especially when teamed up with my giant bar of 74% dark chocolate.

Next up after that is four full days of shooting in Glasgow. I'm glad; it's been SO long since I had time to visit Scotland.

Retro pin-up with fully fashioned nylon stockings and corset

Too tired to write a long blog today after spending the last 24 hours helping my 89 year-old grandmother move house. Phew! Remind me to send myself flowers tomorrow as well as her ;)

Here are some new old pictures from a shoot I did in London two years ago with Chris Gurry, who has only now been able to find time to edit them due to personal reasons. I think they were worth the wait, and it was really fun to unexpectedly find them in my inbox after forgetting they existed for so long!

Love the effect on this one!^

Very flattering to learn that I've been named one of the top 40 alt models in the world by Sinical magazine in their annual poll. I always feel weird posting about things like this as I get shy about asking people to vote for me >.< but I thought I should mention this one as Sinical is quite a big/ well-known name in the "alt"/ fetish fashion modelling world. If you want to, you can vote every day 20 May - 20 June.

Now to throw some clothes and my toothbrush into my suitcase and drive to the other side of the country for a lingerie, satin and catfight fetish shoot tomorrow! Then on Thursday, I'll be driving from there to London for a couple of days for a meeting with the editor of Skin Two, a full day's shoot on Friday, and then seeing the Prodigy play until 3am at Ally Pally Friday night :D

Photographer Showcase #3: Caught In Action Photography

I shot with Dave at The Pit & Pendulum in Nottingham on Saturday, and have already received these lovely retouched images from him! It was both my first time shooting with Dave and our first time respectively shooting at The Pit, but I think we made the most of our time together.

The Pit is a big, old, wonderful Victorian location with high ceilings, huge windows, peeling paint, worn floorboards, secret rooms and mysterious symbols drawn on the walls, managed by a super lovely, friendly and helpful chap called Danny.

These are my favourites of our "shiny" shots. I did the hair, makeup and wardrobe styling. Skincare was provided by Bareskin Beauty. NB Both photographers I shot with on Saturday specifically complimented me on my "clear, glowing" skin! Thank you, BsB!!

As usual, click the images to see larger versions!

^ I originally typed that as "lick the images to see larger versions". Don't do that, you'll probably get a tongue-zap.

Latex catsuit: Murray & Vern. Corset: Heavenly Corsets. Boots: Fabulously Fetish

Latex gloves: Kaori's Latex Dreams

This is the reference Dave wrote for me:
Anita creates that winning recipe. Mixing excellent pre-shoot communication, preparation, professional positive attitude, attention to detail and versatility to create stunning results.Your shots will sizzle and leave you wanting more.
For any models or others looking for a photographer, this is the reference I wrote for him:
I worked with Dave at The Pit Studio in Nottingham, shooting a mixture of different fashion looks. He is friendly, professional, punctual and really cares about getting lighting right. Highly recommended Smile

If you are a model wanting to shoot with Dave, you can also contact him on PurplePort.

#FetishFriday 'Andrew McMeekin photographs Anita De Bauch': behind the scenes film of a hair fashion shoot

I thought it would be fun to post this behind the scenes film for #FetishFriday, as I thought plenty of my blog readers would like to see a latex shoot actually in progress, but it's also interesting as a hair/ retro fashion shoot. I think the black catsuit was my favourite outfit but I liked the cherry print Marilyn Monroe dress too :)

I was commissioned for this shoot to promote Andrew McMeekin's photography services in Lowestoft, Norfolk- he has a studio above his salon, Robert Owen Haircutters, so it's really convenient for getting your hair done nicely before your portrait session. I posted the photos from our shoot in my blog, here and here :)

This week has mostly been spent organising my Irish Tour in July, which is very exciting as I love visiting Ireland, working with some of my favourite photographers, and meeting new ones. I also want to visit some of the ancient mystical sites this time too, if my schedule allows! Organising so many clients from all different areas, arranging times that are convenient for everyone, and making and booking a travel plan is always a vast amount of work, but worth it for what is produced :) If you're a photographer/ artist/ designer/ hairdresser anywhere in Belfast/ Antrim or the Republic of Ireland, please do feel free to email me about a booking in July at contact@anitadebauch.com. I'm going to be everywhere :)

Other than that, the highlight of my week so far has been life modelling for art classes in London for the first time. I've never done it before as the rates of pay are so low that I sort of couldn't justify doing it. I concluded that life models do it for the feeling of having helped in creating artwork than for anything else, which I sure wish I had time to do for free or almost-free sometimes, but 99% of the time, I just don't. If I'm not shooting, I do need rest days so I don't totally burn out ;) But these ones were quite reasonably paid and I'm so glad I actually took the plunge and did them, it was such a fascinating experience! I really wish I could draw. It was very inspiring and made me want to do life modelling more regularly, if I can.

Another nude booking tomorrow, but with a camera, not a paintbrush, the way god intended ;)

Beyond Burlesque fashion editorial in British MODE magazine by Dave Kai-Piper! #WardrobeWednesday

... in... November... last year... I am comically behind in my blogging! It seems I either have time to live life or time to write about it, but not both, atm! Must get back into the habit of blogging little and often! It's nice to have a daily/ weekly record of my life as a model to look back on.

Anyway! Four lovely lovely pages in British MODE of bridal fashion by Vivienne Westwood's corsetierre Belinda Chorley, shot by Dave Kai-Piper, hair and makeup by Candy. Yay!

My hair colour is much more orange now than it is here. I kind of miss this red/ rust colour. Might introduce it back in at some point :)

Meeting Dita Von Teese

In case you didn't already know, I met DITA VON TEESE in Bloomingdale's in March!

I know!!

How I looked on the outside:

Photographer: Jennifer Mitchell
How I looked on the inside:

Dita's book Burlesque and the Art of the Teese is what first inspired me to actually try modelling nearly eight years ago, and along with my now quite decent library of vintage photo books and glamour icon biographies, has been a part of my creative make-up ever since. I might never have tried to make a living from doing and being what I love if it weren't for this amazing lady!

I was interviewed and photographed by Dita's team before proceeding to blather to her in an exceedingly starstruck but totally honest way about what a big fan I am, how inspiring she is, etc. I handmade her a personalised little "business" card in case she ever happens to need a well-informed pin-up model for one of her events in the UK!

It could happen!!

Photographer: David Prutting/ BFA Photo
I got a pair of Dita's Madame X knickers, too. The Madame X range is awesomes for petite/ athletic ladies. It kind of marks out where your curves are so they can't be missed.

Also, I got this :)
