Twilight Siren, Lady Lucie Latex, Sean McCormack & me

A lot of people seemed interested in the photo in my last blog, so I thought I'd post another that was taken in my home! This shot is by Sean McCormack, who I have shot with many times in Ireland, but this was the first time we'd worked together in London! You might have already seen some of our work in his photo books Anita De Bauch and Anita De Bauch: Chameleon. This time we were shooting for Twilight Siren!

Neck corset and pasties: Twilight Siren | Latex leggings: Lady Lucie | Styling: moi

It's fun to do something a bit more punky after the epic amounts of vintage 1920s - 50s work I've been doing for the last few months :) Having said that, I'm particularly looking forward to my shoot on Friday, which will be recreating my heroine Marlene Dietrich in a vintage London hotel room! I just can't wait! I'm so nerdy about exactly how she did her hair and makeup and was lit and so on, it will be great to really put that knowledge into practice :D

Lots of love,

Anita xxxxx

'Anita De Bauch: Chameleon'

This is the cover of Sean McCormack's second "me" book, Anita De Bauch: Chameleon, which just got released!

The cover! I did the styling and the latex is by Naucler Design :)

It is a 72 page full colour hardback book full of photos, photos, photos that we've shot together in Ireland over the years, including lots and lots of latex and nudes! You can order your copy from my Shop, and it will come to you personally signed and sealed with a lipstick kiss print! I hope to be signing and kissing a lot of books! I know that some people may find £55 a little pricey, but it is really the cheapest I could do them- really top quality coffee table books like this are expensive! I hope that you'll think it's worth it to have all the photos in one place, printed and beautifully bound :)

Well, my home is rather more chaotic than usual today! Last night some old friends took me out to see Beardyman and Doc Brown perform at Rich Mix in Shoreditch, was a lot of fun! My friend Claire and I were raving more or less solidly throughout Beardyman (Darren's) set and met both him and Doc Brown (Ben) after the show. They were both very charming- real gentlemen.

Anyway, the reason I'm in a little chaos today is because three friends stayed at my place after the show, and then my Russian interior decorator arrived this morning to re-floor and re-paint half my apartment, so the house is rather busier than usual! I'm so excited to see the finished results- I should end up with a beautiful new hallway and 1950s styled kitchen and powder room!

I just looked out the window and the weather is so good, I think I will grab my gloves and sunglasses and go for a walk in the sunshine. I guess that this will be the first of many days of sun lotion application of the year to maintain my milky white skin! I think that's another job that I need to hire someone for: following me around with a bottle of SPF 100 all summer long!

Lady Lucie Latex in Ireland

New photo from Ireland by Sean McCormack! Latex by Lady Lucie, makeup by moi :)

I slept until 11 am today, which is really late for me! Normally my legs spring me out of bed at 8 am and I'm straight in front of the TV working an exercise DVD with my eyes only three-quarters open. Today I short-cut straight to mid-morning skinny latte and cinnamon toast! Madame Bink must have worked me hard at our shoot yesterday! It was great catching up with her, Adam Robertson and their gorgeous pup Major :) I can't wait for them to move to London so we can hang out more regularly. Adam has just put a new set of photos of me up on Zivity- here are my choices for the free previews!

Yep, it's from the same shoot where we shot my blog header...

Please click here to see the rest- if you don't already have a Zivity account, I can give you a free one for 30 days. Just ask :) I'll have another, voyeurism-themed set going up on 16th September. I get 55 whole cents every time someone hits the vote button on one of my sets, don't forget ;p So far all my sets on there are from tests that I did with Adam and Stefano Brunesci for my agency profiles, and I've already "earned" back my train fare to Wiltshire from when I shot with them, so that's quite nice :)

Stefano has invited me back this month to do a more fashion-orientated shoot with a stylist he knows for some magazine submissions, so that should be good! I'm so used to styling myself that it feels like a massive luxury to have someone else "do" wardrobe!

Closer to Heaven

I have some soft, beautiful images from my shoot with Jaz Ampaw-Farr at James Thorpe Photography Studio last weekend! Jaz said they look 1970s style and I like them because the use of natural light makes them feel almost ethereal.

Styling all my own! The knickers are from Dorothy Perkins and the shoes are Carvela @ Kurt Geiger, in case anyone's interested. Don't remember where I bought the blouse!

Jaz and I met and briefly shot together twice at a Doug Gordon workshop and a Jerry Ghionis workshop last year, so at this shoot we were completely familiar with each other straight off the bat and enjoyed a really productive two hours together. I'll blog some more photos soon, so please subscribe to my blog using the buttons on the top right of the page (or just bookmark the page and check back)! :)

Happy St Patrick's Day!

I can't touch the black stuff as I'm shooting all day tomorrow, so instead I thought I'd post all my favourite photos and publications from various shoots I've modelled for in Ireland :) I'd also like to take this highly appropriate opportunity to say that I am currently available to shoot in Dublin on Sunday 12th and Saturday 18th June- the only remaining dates on this year's Irish Tour :)

You can also book me to shoot at Sean McCormack Photography Studio in Galway with optional lighting tuition from the man himself on Saturday 11th June! Please click here for details.

Now, time for photos from my previous trips to Ireland :)

Bridal and couple's portraiture!

Wrapping anniversary presents while waiting for someone to get back to me about a shoot location. It's our seventh anniversary on 25th January and as Liam isn't here atm I can wrap stuff in the living room without him seeing what he's getting, hee hee ^^

With the theme of love in mind, I thought I'd post my favourite bridal and couple's portraiture images from my portfolio :)

First up, some photos of me and Liam from a couple's portraiture workshop we modelled for in London nearly a year ago:

And now for some bridal shots of me alone...

 And in the "miscellaneous" section...

 Me modelling with, er, me.

Not strictly a couple's shot, but don't we just look like the sort of incestuous vampire family that would all have sex with each other??

Now back to wrapping and watching my inbox for a reply regarding using a local cafe/ shop as a shoot location. I emailed them quite late last night so they might not have read it yet. I don't know whether it's more polite to wait for a reply or more proactive to just go down there right now, even though if they haven't read the email I will be just some random crazy stranger coming in off the street. Hmmm!

Outtakes from around the world

The end of the year; a time to review oneself and one's work. In digging through my full-to-bursting hard drive I found a concerning number of photos of me messing about during lighting tests, so in a break from the traditional posting-meticulously-posed-and-Photoshopped professional images, I present to you some professional lighting tests and behind the scenes snaps.

Professional on the behalf of the photographers, that is.

Malta, January. It was absolutely freezing on the coast!

London, February. Multi-tasking with Binky: checking out the photos-so-far while holding the grey card for Adam Robertson

Switzerland, July. Shooting Joy Williams latex with The Beauty of Abyss and Cornelius Fischer

Singapore, November with Callan and Kevin of Cake Images LLP

Ireland, December. Me hiding in my new Burberry trench coat during the lighting test with Sean McCormack

Lille, December. Lighting test for a shoot for Peccatus Latex Couture with Maxime Avet

No doubt there will be more in 2011. Here's to another year of international immaturity!
