Photo scrapbook from my fabulous trip to Spain!

I just got home from a FANTASTIC week in Casares. Spain seems to be lucky for me; the last time I was shooting there for a week, I met my friends Roswell Ivory and Iveta Niklova, and this time I think I made new friends too, including with three adorable little Yorkshire terriers :)

I was staying at the Finca Cortesin, which was a definite improvement on the rather damp little villa I stayed in the last time I was working in Spain (yes, even Spain is bloody cold in March!) ;) It really was a beautiful 7* place to relax and re-charge, with lovely salt water swimming pools, a spa, beach club and rose gardens, and the most delicious food I think I've ever eaten!

Breakfast on the terrace <3

Here are some snaps I took at one of our shooting locations, the Finca Cortesin Beach Club. Sunshine, fresh tropical fruit under straw canopies, blue skies and the sound of the sea; it was a real paradise!

My suite was so huge and gorgeous that I couldn't resist inviting my boyfriend to join me from London for a romantic weekend. We really re-connected and it was absolute romantic bliss!

Me in the sumptuous-smelling rose gardens at the hotel, in my Bettie Page dress from Nikita Sablier <3

We also shot on the 5* golf course, which was especially fun for me as I've never been on a golf course before! With rolling emerald hills and bright blue sky I could see why Chris, the photographer, picked it :)

I was also very kindly given a day off to hit the spa at the hotel, so as well as going swimming and using the steam room and sauna (which I was doing every morning before breakfast, anyway) I also got to have a pedicure and an oxyenating facial :)

Crazy spa flip-flops that looked a bit like geisha sandals

Pretty shell display in the spa <3 I love Victorian bell jars and was planning on having some with taxidermy birds in them on my mantlepiece; now I think I might do it with shells or other pretty objects instead :)

There's been such a lovely atmosphere in the house since boyfy and I got home; we feel like we've just come back from our honeymoon. Yesterday we went to see Prometheus in 3D at the BFI IMAX, the biggest screen in Britain, which might not be everybody's idea of romance, but we love the Alien films! We'll probably watch the 2003 cut of Alien tonight and then work our way through the trilogy with Prometheus as the beginning this time :)

Now I'm off to make an organic mushroom omelette for dinner, followed by Alien and sofa snuggles with the boyfriend and the cats, perhaps with a nice bottle of wine ;)

Have a lovely evening! I will post some sexy photos from Spain tomorrow to make sure you do ;)

Buenas noches, mi amor!

Anita xoxo

Freyagushi @ Nikita Sablier

Yay, I finished painting my bathroom! I think I may celebrate with a ceremonial bubble bath :) I still have to put up the shelves, re-tile a little section and then call in some peeps to replace the taps and flooring, but still ;)

This photo was actually taken in a bathroom, believe it or not, in a country hotel in Chelmsford... you've got to love a decorator who would put an antique leather chair next to the bathroom fireplace :)

Photographer: Agness Lugovska
Hair and  makeup: me!

I'm off to have a cup of peppermint tea in the bath and admire my paint work ;)

Boudoir Academy feat. Nikita Sablier/ Angels Carrying Savage Weapons

I just got some lovely new Boudoir Academy photos back from the Yerburys- I always like the photos they take of me, but I especially like the variety of styles in this set :) I think this is the last time the shock of blonde hair was shot, too- I wore wigs for my Portugal shoots and Gemini Rayne came round yesterday to help me dye my hair back to all-over jet blue-black before we went to see Oi Polloi and The Restarts in Tufnell Park. I was really glad to hear that it had sold out- it's so nice to see smaller events like that receive lots of support. And Gem and I had a wonderful time anti-gravity hair-spotting!

Anyway, here are some distinctly non-punky images from the Yerburys- as usual, they managed to make me look far more elegant and sophisticated than a person could ever be in real life! :)

All photos by Faye Yerbury, except #2, which is by Trevor Yerbury

Today I am mostly getting my house all spruced up and baking special diabetic-friendly cupcakes after an anti-Royal Wedding house party last night, ready for a boudoir shoot on the leather couches in my living room tomorrow :)

Vintage retail therapy! ^^

I just came home from a delightful coffee meeting/ dress fitting in Soho with one of my most glamorous and best-loved fashion clients, Nikkita Sablier, with not only an arm-full of beautiful corsets for a fashion editorial I'm shooting in Portugal next week, but a beautiful Freyagushi choker and a Bettie Page dress that Marilyn might have worn! I'm so happy with them that I'm wearing both dress and choker as I write!

Photographer: Adam Robertson

Did anyone else see the episode of CSI that had Dita playing a villainous showgirl posing as a teacher? (Should I have said "spoiler alert"?) Anyway, it got shown in the US before it got shown here in the UK and I swear she tweeted something along the lines of "I know my acting was rubbish but my only goal was to bring burlesque to the show, so there." I was therefore expecting it to be a train wreck but I thought she wrestled admirably with a truly dreadful script (just one cliche after another, ew).

Anyway, even though I wasn't keen on the show, it inspired me to re-read Burlesque and the Art of the Teese for the first time in maybe three years and tickled my love of surrounding myself with beautiful objects! Life is just too dull when one's surroundings are purely functional.

In this frame of mind, I acquired these gorgeous little items the other day!

Vintage 1950s highball glasses! Sooo pretty <3

Mother of pearl-handled fish knives and forks from This Vintage Life- I poach and grill a lot of salmon and sea bass and love the idea of eating it with something that also came from the sea :)

I also treated myself to half a dozen new corsets, each with matching knickers...

I can't wait for them to arrive so I can spend an afternoon in my bedroom trying them all on! ^^

Finally, I created a Universal Amazon Wish List as a solution to the "generous fans requesting to send gifts vs. security against stalkers" conundrum. Only people who meet me in real life will be able to gift lingerie, stockings, shoes and things like that, but anyone can now send me a book of pretty photos, a DVD, or even my favourite perfume, anonymously or otherwise! :)

Bridal and couple's portraiture!

Wrapping anniversary presents while waiting for someone to get back to me about a shoot location. It's our seventh anniversary on 25th January and as Liam isn't here atm I can wrap stuff in the living room without him seeing what he's getting, hee hee ^^

With the theme of love in mind, I thought I'd post my favourite bridal and couple's portraiture images from my portfolio :)

First up, some photos of me and Liam from a couple's portraiture workshop we modelled for in London nearly a year ago:

 Me modelling with, er, me.

Not strictly a couple's shot, but don't we just look like the sort of incestuous vampire family that would all have sex with each other??

Now back to wrapping and watching my inbox for a reply regarding using a local cafe/ shop as a shoot location. I emailed them quite late last night so they might not have read it yet. I don't know whether it's more polite to wait for a reply or more proactive to just go down there right now, even though if they haven't read the email I will be just some random crazy stranger coming in off the street. Hmmm!

Festival of Sins

Had quite an entertaining night at Festival of Sins last night. I was working for Emma Delves-Broughton, who was there doing a book signing of Kinky Nature.

You can't quite tell in this photo, but I was wearing my new boots. They are surprisingly comfy and easy to walk in :D

My quest to find the Ultra Vixens doing their photo booth thing with Bizarre was unsuccessful, but then I was on the stall most of the time, which was a good vantage point for people-watching. FoS doesn't have a dress code that I'm aware of so there was an odd combination of people in head-to-toe latex and hoods, guys flat-out walking around with their cocks out and real "vanilla" looking dudes in jeans and trainers. Strange! The DJs were really good though :)

As predicted my face was plastered all over the inside of the club on various posters. I forgot to put the flash on when I snapped most of them so they didn't come out, but luckily this particular poster had a spotlight over it, so I got it!

I'm the one in the polka dot PJs and smeared lipstick :D The clock over Emma Tiger's crotch and the little wooden one in the middle foreground are from my kitchen and living room, respectively :p Photo by Team Binkertson

It was fun to see my other friends (and feel compelled to cup one of Nikki Sablier's amazing boobs for a photo. Sorry, Nikki) and eventually end up drinking wine and chatting away with Emma and Liam until 4 am before finally crashing out!

I'm also on the cover of the flyer for the next event (Sloth) on 11th December, so I took a snap of a couple of them this morning along with my pass from last night. Another one to add to my souvenir collection (I was nice and gave them the bit that goes around your neck back when I left) :)

Right now I am cooking a massive crispy aromatic duck that I marinaded myself in sugar and soy sauce. It smells sooo good! Just need to defrost some Chinese pancakes and slice up some cucumber and spring onions and I'm good to go for a major calorie-loading session :D

Gluttony

I haven't been to Festival of Sins for too long despite it being so local to me (Camden)! Saturday night was so much fun with so many friends under the same roof for once :) The theme for the night was "gluttony" so the club was awash with muffins and sweets, but somehow I managed to resist ;)

I had my hair in a Mohawk for a recent shoot for Drac-in-a-Box so decided to do it like this again on Saturday:

Photographer: Gregory Brown. Retoucher: Technical Boy. Hair and makeup: me

It's just a preview- more to follow from this shoot soon!

Anyway, Liam and I arrived at FoS "fashionably late" (nearly midnight, oops) to be greeted by Team Binkertson and Khandie Khisses before heading in. I like KK for all sorts of reasons, not least because she says "fanny" a lot (hardly anyone says "fanny" anymore, have you noticed?).

I brought my camera with me so that Liam could film my show but totally forgot to take any photos in all the madness, so will now proceed to steal other people's from Facebook ^^

Liam and me outside the club. Me: The power of Elnette compels you!

L-R: James Thorpe, Khandie, Adam Robertson, me, Liam (Binky was taking the picture!)

An hour later it was time to get on stage for Nikita Sablier's fashion show, for which I wore a cute Bettie Page dress with a lipstick red bullet bra and a Freyagushi medical mask ^^

Warning: this is not your typical runway show :p

Me force-feeding Graeme a donut :p

The extremely messy finale! :D Stage photos courtesy of Dafydd Owen

After coming off stage and de-caking I got to get drunk and have a laugh with too many people to name them all here, but it was great to see them all :) I have a feeling I got photographed rather a lot pulling silly faces with Liam, but can't remember by who, so it will be interesting to see if any of those photos pop up anywhere!

L-R: me, Lex E Leven and Ivory Flame. My dress is from Drac-in-a-Box!

Around 3 am after we'd watched some bearlesque and other funny stuff Liam and I headed home with Roswell Ivory and Ivory Flame to eat pizza and listen to music before hitting the hay :) I was quite impressed with how my hair held up, I've been giving myself Mohawks for shoots since I was 19 but was never quite brave enough to wear it on a full night out in case it completely lost its erection, but it held its own!
