3 Upcoming Studio Days

It's been such a busy couple of weeks with so much planning as well as actual shooting! I'm happy to have so much to do but can't help but feel that having an extra six hours in every day would really help ;) I'm still making sure to take time out to breathe, walk, stretch, eat, sleep and even squeeze in the odd Pilates or yoga workout to help me keep that precious balance as well as look my best for my shoots :)

So, partly for the photographers that read my blog and partly for myself, I thought I'd list my upcoming studio days with a few useful notes and contact information for anyone interested in booking me at one or more of them. I make suggestions for genres I like and wardrobe I have but always love to hear your ideas and work on your vision with you :)

  1. Adrian Pini Studios Day, North London, 26th October- SOLD OUT. We will hopefully be arranging another one in February :)
  2. Space Studio Day, St Albans, 9th November. I did a black and white fashion nude shoot here recently with some lovely pieces (including an amazing stingray leather jacket from Lady Allura!). It's a well laid-out space with natural light and big windows as well as studio lighting and paper backdrops, and a nice high ceiling. They also have a ringflash, which makes latex look amazing! It would usually be £60ph to book me in the studio, but we are offering our services for £50ph on 9th November :) I'll be available to shoot all styles up to art nude levels. I believe that two hours have been booked off so far, so there are six hours still available.
  3. Fine & Dan Dee Studio/ Dungeon Day sponsored by Lady Allura's Latex, Wokingham, 16th November. I sold out my first Fine & Dan Dee Studio and was really happy to be able to offer photographers a real, functioning, clean, quality dungeon to shoot in as well as a little studio with paper backdrops on a studio day. It's so different! We can shoot whatever we like of course, especially against the blank canvas environment of the studio, but with the dungeon available it really lends itself to edgy, fetish, alt sort of styles, from fashion to art nude levels. This studio day will be sponsored by Lady Allura's Latex, who will provide a selection of beautiful latex couture for us to choose from at no additional charge (and with no obligation to share photos afterwards or anything). There's no catch, it's just a really good deal :) £50ph, with four 2 hour sessions available @ £100 each:

If you would like to ask about booking some time at one of these studio days, ask a question about them or suggest another studio you'd like me to do a studio day at, please email contact@anitadebauch.com. Thanks!

Black latex catsuit in the woods, yum! And check out my new hair colour!

So, over the last couple of days I have:
  • got a new haircut (as mentioned in previous blog!)
  • got a new(ish) hair colour- apricot instead of copper, which is much lighter/ brighter (see below!!!)
  • done a super-exciting casting type of thing that I can't talk about yet because I had to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), argh! haha
  • arranged a cover shoot for my book, The Ugly Girl's Guide to Modelling, which is due out 31st October :D
  • ordered an amazing latex corset for the aforementioned cover shoot :D
  • organised which photos are going to go where in Ugly Girl and asked the respective photographers, who range from weekend hobbyists to industry legends, for permission to use them, and they all said yes :D bar two who I'm waiting to hear back from, but fingers crossed they'll say yes too :) Looking at the digital layout is so exciting now it's almost full of beautiful high-res colour photos. I can't wait till I have the last two internal images, and the edited cover images, in my hot little hands so I can order a test copy of the book! It's gotta be perfect :)
  • done a couple of outdoor photo shoots, including latex in the woods (BELOW!!!) and a romantic nighttime bridal shoot on a bridge over the Thames
Photographer: Pete McCafferey | Latex catsuit: Murray and Vern | Tightlacing corset: Heavenly Corsets | Styling and location scouting: me :)
  • booked two studio days, one at Adrian Pini Studios in North London on 26th October and one at James Ward Photography Studio in Hertfordshire on 9th November, both of which are £50ph. Please leave a comment here or email me if you'd like to book :) contact@anitadebauch.com
  • finally started redecorating my lounge, starting with putting up a white base coat. This will be useful for tomorrow as I'm shooting at home- it'll be convenient to have one or two plain white walls to shoot against, as well as a nice old-fashioned panel door, which will all require less retouching now they've had a fresh lick of paint :)
  • drafted (but not yet finished) an article for Nocturnal Girls on my nocturnal outdoor "streets of London" nude shoot with them- I hope it will make you smile :)
  • managed to ladder my stocking at a casting:
Please click here if you'd like to buy it! Just select 'Beige with Contrast Black Seams' from the dropdown menu- you can either order this one by itself, or the pair :) First come, first serve, gentlemen!
  • booked a TV interview at my home for later this month- scary! Hence finally getting on with finishing the redecorating ;)
  • been invited to a movie premier in London- hell yes! Just hope my new comp cards arrive in time as I feel I will be networking my ass off... well, maybe
  • been invited to Perou's Bunker party next month :D
  • looking forward to London Fetish Weekend- I'll be on the catwalk and Lady Allura's Latex stall on the Saturday, if anyone spots me, do come up and say hello :) I won't bite ;)
  • I also somehow managed to squeeze in a couple of Pilates workouts somewhere :p
My schedule for tomorrow is just get up, clean the house from top to bottom for my shoot (including putting the lounge back together), shoot for 2 hours, do the last bit of base-coat painting in the lounge, finish writing my Nocturnal Girls article, then pack and get an early night for my fetish shoot on Friday, phew! It will be a good warm up for being at the London Fetish Weekend all day Saturday, that's for sure :D

I thrive on being busy but am trying to balance it with making a clear "time out" point in the day when I stop working and do something completely self-indulgent and non-work-related, e.g. having a candlelit bath and then watching Wayne's World in bed last night :)

Aaaaaand I just bought a massive Persian rug while typing this. Gotta love the internet. I would actually be completely screwed without it.

Good night!

Beyond Burlesque bridalwear by Dave Kai-Piper

Fun day today! I've been feeling a bit tired/ unmotivated for a little while now but an amazingly inspiring email from Ivory Flame has cheered me right up :) I'm pottering around my flat in London doing my own thing for a couple of days while Liam is visiting family in Somerset and feeling my energy levels slowly going back up.

I've been up at 7am or so the last couple of mornings getting back into Pilates, which always seems to get me back in shape within a week, as long as I stick at it! It's satisfying when you can feel yourself getting stronger :) Then I had my darling green smoothie and went to meet Simon Pinto to get my hair cut professionally for the first time in at least a year! After a couple of bad experiences with hairdressers doing unpredictable things to my hair I went back to just chopping the ends of myself in the bathroom when they felt like they needed it, haha. But then I got the itch to have a real, proper style again, rather than just an uninspiring longish mop.

The venue for the haircut was really cool- a barber's in Carnaby Street called Pankhurst, which seriously looks like somewhere James Bond would go to get his hair cut! if I was a bachelor, my whole flat would be decorated like their barbershop! I'm thinking of booking an appointment for a cut and shave for Liam for Christmas or something, with the proper cutthroat razor and hot towels and stuff. Totally what I would do if I was a dude!!

Simon and I came up with a haircut between us that I can make simple adjustments to to look either a) natural/ girl next door-like, b) vintage or c) punky, which is going to make my life so much easier and hairstyling so much quicker at shoots :D

After my appointment I inhaled a superfood salad from Pret as thanks to all my fussing and Simon's professional perfectionism, despite meeting at 11am we didn't finish cutting until 2pm, lol. I'm always starving for lunch by 1pm. Then I got the tube to Camden to buy hair dye from the market and other little treats for myself: three bunches of flowers and six bars of dark chocolate, totalling £7.77 from Lidl :p The house feels happier now that there are flowers and chocolates everywhere!

I'm also brightening up my colour a little, at least temporarily, to a kind of strawberry blonde/ apricot colour. My hair's actually blonde as I type this as I had to pre-lighten it! At least now I know that I can be blonde within 24 hours if anyone needs me to be for work! I just need to keep a box of the bleach in stock.

I'm doing a cool little conceptual shoot at home with Dan Hubbert tomorrow to capture the blonde-ness, then having a hair dye break, blow drying it and shooting some more with the new apricot colour! You'll have to wait til then to see me blonde as I don't seem to be able to get a good picture of it on my phone!

Here's a photo with my old hair, taken last month at a shoot for Beyond Burlesque bridalwear. The photographer was Dave Kai-Piper, who I'd met before but not actually shot with, so it was good to finally work together :)

I think this is my favourite shot of the day. It feels more editorial and like a modernised version of a pre-Raphaelite lady reclining in some sort of enchanted woodland (actually, a garden in Crouch End :p). If I remember correctly, Belinda said that this dress was inspired by/ a homage to Dita's wedding dress, which was made by Vivienne Westwood, the company Belinda designs for when she's not doing her own thing with Beyond Burlesque :)

But I also like this catalogue shot... I felt like such a Disney princess in this dress, it was amazing!

I must go and make my detox tea and go to bed now as it's 10.30 pm!! Gotta be fresh for 7am Pilates ;)
